McFarlane DC Multiverse

After irritably waiting for Gamestop to ship Selina, she's finally en route. I'm still grumpy with Gamestop but at least they did not pull a Walmart on me, which really is baseline all I ask, don't cancel my POs.

Received my bundle from MTS out of nowhere, no shipment notification no Fedex email like usual. Basically have everything but Shreck. Waiting on my followup shipment for the keep-in-box versions of Batman, Catwoman, Penguin and some more penguins. I do find interesting that the inlay cardboard in the packaging has the break-apart batmobile from Batman Returns printed on it. Negligible overall but a nice touch.

P.S. the penguin army figures are basically cast plastic, the large one can raise it's flippers, but none of them can turn their heads. The rockets on the back seem well painted enough and fit snug on the figures so they wont come out easily. The extra coat that comes with them for Oswald is alright, kinda whatever. I prefer him in his death scene dirty longjohns anyway when he gets a Seaworld burial with full honors. Even as a kid I thought "where's he gonna go? to get stuck in the drain like the fat clown he shot earlier?"

Ever notice the little wheeled cart Penguin was on that sinks in the water after they push him in? :ROFLMAO: It's like the ones mechanics lay on lol

Still, it's nice that he came with actual accessories; I've since given Farrell's Penguin another umbrella, but it's all the more interesting why he didn't come with one himself. Probably gonna have to end up just getting the duck for the onesie Penguin and offloading the duck when I inevitably don't have enough room, but I do really want that onesie version to muck up.

My only real gripe with Penguin, besides the fingered hand, is that I wish he had come with proper umbrellas. They wouldn't have needed to be functional open-close, just a static plastic umbrella you plug the handle into like the old Kenner figure would have been just fine with me. I'd have liked to see the "hypnotizing" / splitting headache umbrella with the regular Penguin, and the crib mobile one (the cute one) from the end of the film for the Penguin with the duck.

Or perhaps the umbrellas could have been pack-ins with the commando penguins to help offset the lack of their articulation a little.

Either way though, they are very impressive in-box! I'm looking forward to opening them up and reviewing them, I've only really been able to check out the penguins and the duck set so far.
 
Just got the Returns Batman in (still waiting on Catwoman).

But I love that they made the neck and head one piece. That's what they should have done on '89 Batman. But pretty cool. Obviously, it has shit articulation there, but hey...so did Michael Keaton. Lol
 
Finally got around to opening Monarch and boy am I sad I ordered this one. The legs are absurdly long and the head so very tiny. I'm not sure what tricks of photography convinced me to order him... but I hate him.

Based on the leg length he should be nine inches tall. His head could fit inside his massive wrist cuff armor. Heck the shoulder balls are nearly the same size as the head. I thought Todd had put most of these garbage habits to rest so very, very disappointed in my purchase of this one.

Like Walmart did with me and the "in stock" MOTUC x Thundercats Panthorman which was cancelled this morning after being available to order last night.

My Selina should be here tomorrow.

I just assume Walmart preorders are like, on spec or soething. Scratch ticket level confidence they get filled.
 
Still waiting on my MTS BR Batman, Penguins and Selina. Starting to get a little silly now. Thinking about it my Classic Batgirl, Scarecrow, Batman inc and Riddler are still on ice with them also.....
 
Got shipping notification on the Page Punchers Superman and Joker. Label printed. Not moving as yet. Cheetah and Extant have made it to Ohio. I’m in Virginia.

Oh yeah. Everything McFarlane hit for me. Made some cuts and came to terms on what I really want. There are things I did just keep, like Batgirls, because I know in my local market, they're just never going to appear again.

But yeah DC. Fallout. MK. Got my Godzilla coming because I forgot I ordered that through the website. All the Hasbro has started and will continue to hit in the next few weeks too.
