McFarlane DC Multiverse

My Target was showing limited stock of Kite-Man in stock but not available for pick-up, so I stopped by after work. There was nothing on the shelves in either toys or electronics so I asked someone for help. They told me they had 10 in stock but they wouldn't be available for purchase until they did their toy reset in a couple of days.

So I guess that I'll be stopping by daily until they hit. I'm still hoping for a miracle and to end up with a set of Marvel Legends Psylocke and Thanos after that reset as well (although my Target shows none of those in stock). I'll hope to find Metron as well.

I wonder if Haslabs would be more successful or less successful with that kind of tiered approach? The more you want included, the more you’ll pay, but a simple base offering is also available.
I jumped the gun poo-pooing this tiered approach assuming is was a Haslab model. The way it's actually structured, being able to pick and choose your tiers, is much more acceptable.

Old news really, but I got the Clayface Amazon three pack and it's absolutely the first time in YEARS I feel compelled to return a set. Clayface's leg snapped off at the knee lifting him from the package, the ratchet entirely crumbled, and he feels like a knockoff--I'm so used to Todd's "the boys love those big hunks of plastic" aesthetic that something this hollow and brittle doesn't feel on brand.

Batwoman's knees feel liked they'd similarly degraded, the ratchets wobbly and loose. Batman's cape wasn't glued to his cowl properly so there's a gray ring of open space between the cowl and the cape. The diapers on both are exceptionally puffy/warped. And both struggle to hold the grapple guns, but that's a common thing with this line, so that doesn't bug me too much.

Wonder if it was climate wrecked in trailers and warehouses over time.

Haven’t checked stock locally because quite frankly, I don’t know the DPCI numbers. But I went by to eyeball it at my local store yesterday and can confirm that a reset looks imminent. Stock levels were low on all the toy isles and it looked like things had been cleaned up and straightened out ahead of the new stock.

Naw. That Clayface was always fragile and the Batwoman I have is also pretty wobbly at the knees. Neither are broken to be clear, but I don’t think it would take much.
I thought it might be the climate, but Clayface compared to like, King Shark or Bane is wild. Those other big bastards are SOLID monstrosities, and Clayface feels like trash. Like I have never just thrown a figure away but I had this guy in hand and thought--this might not be worth fixing. His arms spin in the sockets if I swing him around.

I think I can work with Kate Kane's figure, the knees suck but it's not a bad figure overall. I do think the weather is the problem with Batman's diaper butt though, because I have the same figure repainted and it's actually one of my favorite bucks for him. It's like the heat gave him droopy drawers.

I'm extremely critical of Todd and many of the choices his company has made with this line, but credit where it's due...this crowdfuned Batmobile is smart. The tiers are a great idea, and I don't think the prices are unreasonable for what he's offering. I don't personally have room for this, but even I am tempted because it's a pretty great deal.

I received 2 packages from MTS this week and neither had a scratch off card for extra reward points. I wonder if they are doing away with those.

Think I've back the Batmobile, haven't had any confirmation and the site seemed to be playing up but I was doing on my phone. Seems you need a drawing board account and a mcfarlanetoysstore account.
