McFarlane DC Multiverse

I received my BvS Alfred figure from MTS yesterday. It was supposed to ship in May. The Phygital figures with Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing & Monarch will arrive today from MTS. The AzBat, Troika Batman & Batwing have shipped as well from MTS. I got an email that the Eradicator figure has finally shipped from MTS. That was also supposed to ship in May. Somehow it takes a week for the figures to leave Nevada, but a few days to arrive in PA.

Crowd funded Batman v Superman Batmobile set to drop tomorrow night. Five tiers. Todd sayin “fuck you” to Mattel on his way out.
And kind of saying "f-you" to the fans too, IMO. I mean, he successfully released a half dozen Batmobiles via standard retail, now the last one has to be a crowd fund? One tier is a Batman that's been released three times before? Come on.

Speaking of BvS Alfred; can anyone who has both him and the theatrical Lex see how Lex's head looks on Alfred's body? I'm curious if they're compatible, and if so, how he looks. I like the purple suit well enough for Lex, but part of me is curious how he'd look on something a little closer to the vest look he wears in his control room.

That was a good interview - thanks for linking! Is Todd neurodivergent? I don't remember hearing that in this interview.

Target's second pre-order/on-sale date for the Bruce Wayne BAF Animated wave hit today and the figures did not pop up for sale on the website. All are now listed at $34.99 and I still just need Phantasm. Checked in store and not there. Didn't see the other wave, either, but the collector section in my store is way overstuffed with giant Funkos and NECA. Anyone see these or get shipping notices on this wave?
He might not be officially diagnosed, but yeah. You can tell after listening to him for a while, he's all over the place.

Maybe so. Doesn’t really impact me. Vehicles and live action figures don’t really hit my radar. I just think he’s trying to do something big for the Snyder people out there that may not interest the big box retailers. A vehicle, three figures and a big accessory isn’t exactly a retail friendly price point.

Wonder what the pricing for the tiers will be. The Batmobile looks cool, but don't need to spend like a thousand dollars for the five tiers if it's crazy like that.
The prices are up now. Not unreasonable for the lower levels. Not sure if I’m going to bite though, I have one of the Mattel versions. They need to show better pictures.

Honestly, not terrible prices. Don't think I personally need any of it, nor do I have the space even if I did, but still- it's nice that the pricing isn't absurd for what you're getting. If only Haslabs were that affordable!

That's interesting. Grayscale figs are always intriguing but definitely don't need those. Kinda surprised they also aren't somehow 4:3 ratioed. :)

Didn't know McFarlane still had the Avatar license - or interest in it - so that Quarritch is a big surprise! So many missing characters from Way of Water.

I'll have to wait and see the details, but I could see myself doing the Tier 3 with the Batmobile and the Bat Signal. I have less than zero interest in the figures or the poster.

Update: so digging into this further I believe that this is the offer:

Tier 1 BvS Batmobile only $79

Tier 2 Batmobile with guns to attach $99 to turn it into Justice League version

Tier 3 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal & Batman $129

Tier 4 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal/Batman, 3 grayscale figures $169

Tier 5 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal/Batman, 3 grayscale figures, poster $189

Plus $20 additional for shipping regardless of what tier you choose.

Please forgive me if that's not all exactly right, but I think that's what I saw in a YouTube video on the subject. I didn't write it down so I'm going from memory and assuming that what they said was accurate in the first place.

I wonder if Haslabs would be more successful or less successful with that kind of tiered approach? The more you want included, the more you’ll pay, but a simple base offering is also available.

Do they ship to the UK? The BvS batmobile is my favourite live action batmobile so going for tier/level 1. Don't need all the extras.

Depends on the individual Haslab, I'm sure, but I could see them having success with it. Obviously, the more you pay, the more you expect to get, which I think is why something like the Rancor ended up failing; people just didn't feel like they were getting enough for the price. But lower the price a bit, give a barebones option, and I could see it being a success. Then, if you want a giant bone, or cardboard backdrop, or Malakili, etc., pay a little bit more. Might also mean being able to cut back on "wasted" plastic- things from tiers that people didn't necessarily want, and so just toss in a bin or onto ebay.

The Super Powers crowd fund items were made available in other countries through normal retailers, so it may be the same in this case. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this pop up at Amazon in the U.S. as well. They don’t guarantee that this will be available only through the crowd fund.
