McFarlane DC Multiverse

Yep. Was on all 6 affiliated sites 5 minutes after receiving the email. All gone on FA WW. Typical. McFarlane can't be shown the door fast enough.

edit. Showed back up at Gamestop. For now.

Might be the Canadian He-Man and Wrestler fan in me, and maybe they're just better in the US, but I cannot imagine Mattel being better than McF at this. I can't even imagine them hitting par.

In fact, Canuck EB is so entrenched with Hasbro and McF, I'm really curious if they improve Mattel stock or what.
 
I do a pretty good job of keeping track of when stuff is going up for pre-order, but even then we all have real life things to deal with as most of us are usually working when these drop. Not everyone can just drop everything the minute something is scheduled to go up.

If a pre-order sells out in under an hour, that tells me that not enough was made available. There's no benefit to either the manufacturer or the retailer when that happens as they're basically leaving money on the table. You could argue that it adds urgency or makes something seem more scarce than it is, but again these are of limited benefit compared to actual sales.

I've learned from experience that if I don't pre-order something then I'm very unlikely to ever see it in the wild as my local retailers SUCK, so I try to pre-order everything that I want. With things selling out so fast, that's been near impossible. Just last month I missed on Kite Man and Psylocke/Thanos because I was in meetings at the times they went up. 30 minutes later was too late.
 
Luckily Wonder Woman and Superboy were still up on Gamestop a few minutes ago so pre-ordered there. I wish pre-orders were on Thursday. That is a better day at least for me. There is no training to attend and no meetings to get ready for.

I do miss retail 20 years ago when it was Tuesday was new movie and video game day and where I lived at the time. Most of the stores stocked reliably on Monday after the weekend and Friday right before the weekend.

Those Friday morning hunts were always fire.
 
I'm certainly in for Monarch and Stephanie. I'll begrudgingly go for NML Batman as well despite the fact that I definitely don't need ANY more Batmen, like EVER.... The only pass for me is Disco Dick. I hate that look for him (but of course I wasn't born yet during that era).
 
I’ve got a lot more Batman figures than I need or even anticipated having. Some only subtly different than each other.

Nightwing is different somehow. Most of his looks are substantially different. Current, New 52, Knightfall, First Appearance, etc. I like Discowing. I’m in.
 
Anime/Manga and Ozzie today.

There’s literally something going up for preorder every day next week. And only one day we know what it is. DC Digital wave on Tuesday. Todd generally doesn’t make announcements on preorder days, so I’m guessing we see some announcements coming this long holiday weekend.
