McFarlane DC Multiverse

I loved Kelly Jones' run on Batman. I was never completely sure how that suit was supposed to read color-wise. Is it black with a dark blue cape (in which case this figure wouldn't be accurate) or all black? The forearm spikes carrying over to the calfs is a unique feature to this look although it didn't last long. And the boots themselves were eliminated in the comic which Todd, of course didn't do. (In fact THIS figure, that SHOULDN'T have boots, gets the pointy trim along the top that the Year 2 SHOULD have gotten but just got the flat trim instead. Why does he have to make these purposefully inaccurate? It doesn't cost more for accuracy).

I like the figure well enough, I like the artist it's based off of, but I don't know how long I can keep up these artists/period specific looks. I have Year 1, Year 2, Detective 27, Silver age, Knightfall, and a few more I can't think of right now. I didn't intend to go that deep, but I did and I have no room to display them. Troika would just be adding to the pile.
 
Obviously I’m not the Bat expert around here, but to me, that’s not a Kelley Jones Batman other than the ears.

In fact, if/when we get to a KJ Batman, there’s a choice…regular or Red Rain?

Red Rain for me. YMMV.

I was really hoping we’d get to Gotham by Gaslight Batman as well.

I remember happily finding it in a Walmart — and then realizing I really, really didn't like the weapon arm. Looked like something you'd get with a Happy Meal toy. He was very nice otherwise but that was a deal-killer for me.
 
It it too soon to give up trying to find Hawkgirl and just overpay on eBay? I almost never find myself wandering into Walmart. I just caved on Gordon but I don't want to jump the gun if she's still being restocked. At this point I don't even care which version I get, I just want one of her before the line ends.
 
Okay, check this out on YouTube if you haven't as of yet. If this movie don't make bank I can see some changes again at DC. I hope it does make bank though or at least close enough.

I'll definitely be getting that Robert Pattinson Batmobile. I just hope that it's not as expensive as I expect it to be. Todd has really been raising prices here at the end.

I figure that if Superman doesn't make at least $1 billion that the James Gunn DCU will have a quick end. Warner Bros has never shown any patience in terms of sticking to a plan.

I personally love that Mattel KGBeast. I'm very happy to have that in my collection!
 
I just purchased an extra Batman Reborn platinum and a Year One Platinum variants and my goal is to make a customize them into a Legends of the Dark Knight variant for Batman since he was mostly blue and grey in those stories

I seriously don’t want to even think about a failure. They’ll broom Gunn and company, put Berlanti in charge and cut all DC budgets by 75%. Then I’ll have to go to WB HQ and self-immolate on the sidewalk. Gunn is a crapshoot. Berlanti is the literal end of the (DC) Universe.
 
HA! Betlanti’s great, he’s done all kinds of wonderful stuff outside of DC. Limited scope and dumb corporate mandates made the CW stuff less than amazing. I’d love to see what Berlanti could do on a bigger scale.
