McFarlane DC Multiverse

Picked up movie Metamorpho and Gold Label Cyborg Superman while I was out today. I never intended to buy the CS, but when I saw him I did. I already have both the Zor-El version and the first version that McF did of Hank. I really didn't need this one, but a fool and his money are soon parted. Didn't see any of the plats.

Still no sign of Jade, James Gordon or SA Bizarro around me. Sigh. I'll put off buying them off ebay a bit longer. I'll probably just skip Bizarro if I never see him in the wild.

I was up early Sunday morning so I thought I would check out my local Walmart & Target stores. I picked up some Spinmasters Superman movie figures. I went to a nearby Walmart that I went to on Friday and they had the regular & platinum Captain Cold, Guy Gardner & Power Girl. I picked up platinum Power Girl. They were not there on Friday and I did not expect to see these.

Another preorder date for McFarlane. 6/20. This Friday. Possibly the newest collector wave of Merlyn, Metron, and Darkstar. Which already seems to have gone on sale at Electronics Boutique in Canada.

Did a little modding on my Cyborg Superman. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Nice, what did you use for the S? A Gundam pen? Gotta do this to my McFarlane and my Mafex if I'm feeling confident enough. No company that's made Cyborg Superman gets this detail.

I saw the Grim Knight Killer Croc two pack at Target yesterday. I really want the Croc but I really don't what the GK and I really don't want the $73 price tag. Knowing Croc is a $40 figure on his own and being forced to pay the $30+ stings.

If it helps at all, Croc is pretty great. Matches up well with Bane in terms of size. I’ve got the original Grim Knight. I can usually get some trade credit at my LCS for loose action figures so I can get rid of the GK from the 2 pack pretty easily.

Nice work @nik
I had done that with the Mattel DCUC Cyborg Supes years ago. Like yojoebro said, nobody seems to get this detail.

Eradicator has arrived in my POL. I don't have anything else waiting for me so I probably still won't have him in hand for. while.

Not as excited for this guy as I was for Cyborg having owned the previous one. He's good enough, but Cyborg is like McFarlane's figure of the year. I think at least giving Eradicator a wired cape would have gone a long way.

That's just straight up Sharpie, believe it or not. I'm very new at customizing and modding, but I've been an artist my whole life so it's been pretty fun seeing if those skills translate.

So pretty big week for the Bat Family in comics. At least in terms of announcements anyway. A new Red Hood ongoing announced with a new design for Jason (and Huntress). And a new Batman title from Matt Fracion and Jorge Jimenez. With a new Batman design by Jorge.

First off, what’s the consensus on the new duds? And will Todd have time to get to them?

I haven't seen the new duds yet. I'll have to look that up! I did however find and buy Cowardly Lot Batman today at Target. I wasn't a huge fan of the Hush Batman body as he was so much taller than EVERYONE else. Now that I have the size appropriate Superman (SA) and the improvement of the head articulation and wired cape for the Hush body this Batman is great. Way more functional articulation too in torso and legs. Love the head sculpt. My only gripe is he doesn't have two sets of fist but it is really a minor quibble. I could always trim off the batarangs between fingers of the right fist if I wanted but I kind of like them. I really have found myself buying way more DC Multiverse than Marvel Legends lately and that's a first. Sad to see the license go back to Mattel next year.
