I thought I had read somewhere that the Red Platinums were "in-store only" and wouldn't be sold online, like...that was the entire schtick behind the "red platinum" sticker. So I didn't even bother to look at the EE case in regards to Cyborg Superman, I assumed that was a "needle in an in-person haystack" sort of deal. Is that not what Red Plats are? At any rate, it's basically an ebay exclusive so I'll look there after it releases.
Trying to stay on top of new releases for a youtube channel is expensive work. I missed out on all of the preorders this week because I'm still recovering from previous purchases. Makes me wonder how the big channels do it without going incredibly far in debt. I will not miss the variant stuff, and this is coming from one of McFarlane's bigger defenders. I hate having to chase (pun intended) everything down. I understand the store exclusive stuff because I understand the business reasons behind it, but that shouldn't be unique characters. Exclusives should be Electric Blue Superman at Walmart, Electric Red Superman at Target. Blue Azrael Batman at Walmart, Red at Target. Figures based on games at Gamestop, things like that. Gordon, at any rank he holds, should never be an exclusive because he's a unique character. A variant of him could be exclusive somewhere, but not the main one.
Especially at Walmart. The store that just slashed the space to find the product in the first place, who just relegated it (at least at my store) to a single peg at the electronics section. To quote White Goodman, "go ahead with your jokes, Mr. Jokey Joke Maker. But let me hit you with some knowledge. Quit now."
Although, the license is gone as of next year so I doubt anyone over there cares lol
