McFarlane DC Multiverse

So everyday I pick out some figures to take to work with me and pose on my desk for the day. Mainly to entertain myself and to see if my best friend, who works at the office too, can guess some of the lesser know characters I may bring with me. Mostly I take Marvel Legends because I have so many but on snowy days like today it is almost always DC figures. Batman and Mister Freeze or Penguin most of the time. When I think of cold/ice villains DC always comes to mind first because they have so many. I also can remember a lot of Batman stories set in the snow in Gotham or just winter in general. I don't remember a lot of Marvel stories set in snowy scenes unless it was a holiday special nor can I think of a lot of Marvel Villains with cold powers right off the top of my head like I can with DC. Anyways, just a random post on a slow, snowy day at the office. Lol.

I've almost bought the Collector Edition of Captain Cold a few times lately, but unnecessary texture and patterns all over his body keep turning me off.

Also, "teetering" is a great way to describe setting up a Todd DC shelf.

DC statures up for preorder on 12/4/25. UFC stactions up on 12/5/25. 12/9 and 12/10 still unknown.

Possible reveals incoming this Thursday from CCXP in Brazil. It’s a megapanel including several companies. 5:00 PM.

I preordered last month the next wave (Elongated Man, Zatanna, Blackhawk, etc) without it being officially solicited, with a release date put down for January 23rd. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet.

We got a LOT this past year. What's the over/under on McFarlane either flooding the market with as much as possible in the final year, OR does anyone think they'll take the foot off the gas and release less?

Gonna guess we see them by Christmas. I’m wondering about the Platinums to be honest.

I’ve been keeping a running total of figures for this year. I bought 78 new figures. So far. During DCUC, the most I bought was 50. That was 2009. Year 2 of DCUC. I’d like to hope for that approximate number in 2026, but realistically, Todd is probably gonna have to do a sell down in Q4 effectively giving us only nine months instead of 12. Word from that Jayger guy is that a lot of Batman figures will be rereleased with fabric capes.

And as unlikely as it is, I’m still going to hold onto some hope that the 7” scale may live on through DCD and the Collectors aisle at Walmart/Target. I’ll assume negotiations are ongoing.

Found Cheetah at Target tonight - for $16! I don't know if it's a stealth clearance or stealth sale, but worth price-checking any Page Punchers you see!

Her boots really are stupid. And one of her faceplates with an eyebrow slightly more cocked then the other.

And THIS is what this hobby and site are about. You made my day!

target seems to be having a 40% off superman sale this week... which seems to include standard mcfarlane and page punchers... but not collectors edition... unless they are the movie collector edition...

sandman and mr miracle are on sale, but when i scanned metron he was not

Does it seem like there haven't been that many reveals lately or is it just me? Is the Hasbro flood of product making everything feel tame by comparison?

I think there was a rush to get everything out and in stores before the holidays and now there's a lull with no reason to reveal anything too far ahead of it being available in 2026 (or to take the focus off of what they want to sell NOW).

It's not that different than the Marvel stuff, they rushed to get everything out before the holidays and the only thing that they've really revealed for 2026 so far is the Spider-Man retro card wave, Nimrod re-issue and the "made to order" Mephisto and Apocalypse that don't come out until next year. Part of me expects that the Spider-Man retro card wave will actually hit before Christmas yet also even though it was solicited as February.

Todd revealed and released a ton of stuff leading up to and right around Batman Day. There was that huge Batman Day 7-figure bundle, the Batman Returns stuff and more (that Superman / Joker wave with the Cheetah/Blackfire chases, Peacemaker, Red Tornado, Purple Batgirl, Guardian, Jokerized Batman & Superman, Dark Flash Wraith, WW & Godzilla, Atom Smasher / Spectre, '66 Batmobile, etc) basically all at once. I'm too lazy to go back and look at what else was part of that, but I know that it was a lot.

Both companies pushed out a deluge of stuff all at once. I'd say that they both dumped an entire quarter's worth of releases all at once. The McF stuff just hit a touch sooner and was maybe slightly more spread out than the Hasbro stuff. Between only Hasbro and McF I had pre-ordered well over $1000 worth of stuff over the course of like six weeks. I think that all of it has hit and is in hand at this point.
