Woot! We need more activity in the MOTU forum.Holy smokes that Moss Man. Between that and the 200x stuff looks like I'm back into MOTU again.
Probably because they're Origins figures, and they really do look a lot like the actual toon.I got excited when I saw they were doing 200X, but the paint looks so... simple?
They're calling them Origins, though between these and the Thundercats crossover figures, I'm not even sure what that's supposed to signify anymore. One of the Mattel guys at the booth called the 200X Origins a "spiritual successor" to the previous Origins stuff.Ohhhh... I thought they were Masterverse.
Which makes sense. I love me some Origins, but trying to fit everything into that aesthetic probably wouldn't work in the long run. Probably better to just keep Origins to the vintage toy line aesthetic and rename the other lines to avoid confusion. They're calling them Origins, though between these and the Thundercats crossover figures, I'm not even sure what that's supposed to signify anymore. Getting Stratos was easier than I expected. Though I give it 50/50 chances Walmart ever fulfills the order. Betting he shows up on BBTS before they ever ship.
I hate to agree because I like the figure in theory but the painted torso as a shirt never looks good in this line. I like that armor and head enough that I can live with it, but let's just go shirtless, fellas, it's MOTU. The real shame is that these figures can't just pop apart at the waist like MOTU Origins. All of these look great...except Keldor who looks REALLY stupid with that white torso.
