Marvel Legends Two-Packs

I was just thinking I'd really love to see a 2-pack featuring classic Magik & Belasco. That would make a lot of sense and be one heck of a sexy looking set if you ask me.

I would pre-order that so damn fast...

Late to the party, I know, but I finally pulled the trigger on the Black Bolt and Triton set when the price dropped to 49.99. And, after having them for the last three or four days, I must say, they are both rather superfantastic.
Black Bolt is perfect. The only other BB I ever purchased was the one from the Okoye BaF wave, and this new one is far superior with his better build, better wings, better portraits plus, he's actually black.
Triton was long overdue and came out beautiful. I appreciate they went the extra mile and went all-in on the devoted sculpt. However, I would have preferred he had tubing/piping as opposed to the flat scaly costume details -though they do look slick as hell, and I really like they went with the metallic paint applications. The only alteration I feel compelled to make on him is adding irises. I did a quick CG mockup and I feel it is worth doing to make him a bit more classic-looking.
One thing I find inexplicable, is the inclusion of the modern head. While I'm not familiar with the modern iterations of the character, from every image I've seen online, that head necessarily requires a completely different costume for it to make any sense. In this circumstance, I would have much rather they included a classic Kirby-inspired portrait as opposed to yet another head without a proper body.
Anyway, I simply love the set, and I can't wait for Gorgon and Medusa to follow suit and drop down in price so I can scoop them up too!

I had picked up a Medusa/Gorgon set from GameStop when they first made it available to preorder, and the price was 49.99. They honored it and fulfilled, but have since raised the price to 64.99 for non members.

I think I paid full for both Inhuman sets. They are both awesome I think, Triton being the prettiest of the bunch along with Medusa. Will pre-order the 2 they showed this week. Daredevil just got really cool and that Quiksilver is looking good.

Got the Yelena and Alexei 2-pack:

Alexei is a frustrating update, the ball jointed diaphragm is paired with a waist cut which makes for his abdomen getting that odd spinning meat effect. He really should have had a ball joint at the waist too or a hinge, giving his torso more dynamic range. When its a unique sculpt that is unlikely to be used again, why can't they just do it properly instead of this sort of half-arsed approach? I don't really recall him duel wielding guns in the movie but it's a nice feature that he has two rear holsters - if only they could sort out this kind of thing for John Walker too instead of his ridiculous molded-in weapon. He also seems too short in the same way every MCU Captain America does.

Yelena is a really good sculpt and face paints, but her diaphragm ball joint looks bad in everything except the neutral position, so they really ought to have used her belt line as a location for a ball joint if she was only going to get one point of articulation in the torso. Given the design of the costume, the best situation would have been something like and overlay that constituted the majority of the torso, with a deeper seated ball joint under it, along the lines of the way Tombstone or Last Stand Spider-Man are designed, so that the jumpsuit can move over the jointing and make her a bit more dynamic. On mine it looks like they forgot to paint the undershirt at the collar, so there's a weird line at the base of the throat, which would have been better served by an additional socket for the neck piece, which they could then reuse in other figures as opposed to this figure not really offering anything that can ever be reused at all. Again she has proper weapon storage for all four weapons so in hand feels like a nod to GI Joe Classified, but is then inferior in overall articulation compared to that line. Also its good she has storage because the grip her hands have on the weapons is loose so expect to lose them in the carpet eventually. I might ultimately kitbash her with classified parts to improve the poseability but she's still one of the best MCU Yelena figures for sure.

Also, Kitty still looks pretty tall. They could have fixed that if they'd bothered to sculpt her lower legs like every other Astonishing-costumed character.
