Marvel Legends Two-Packs

I would order that a second it went for sale. Even moreso for the belly cut out version since we have the other look.

I was just thinking I'd really love to see a 2-pack featuring classic Magik & Belasco. That would make a lot of sense and be one heck of a sexy looking set if you ask me.

I could take or leave an action figure of Belasco, but if he were the price of admission to get classic Magik, I would still jump on that set without missing a beat.

@bennroe to be honest, I could take-or-leave Belasco too. I was just toying with the 2-pack idea. As a general rule, I prefer my Legends to be individually wrapped with their accessories only.

Has @Beamish held a devoted wishlist thread for 2-packs yet? Maybe that should be one of our next ones. Top 5 two packs and then a poll to pick the top 3.

Got Medusa and Gorgon.

Medusa is the first version of the character I’ve ever had and it’s a strange offering. I appreciate the attempt with the hinge in the hair, but it’s also a bit of a lame attempt to do anything with the concept. It’s nice she has the newer articulation, but the swappable face plates won’t stay on without blu-tak so it’s a bit of a fail and somehow I think I’m going to have to build a whole new custom of the character and use this for fodder.

Gorgon is.. weirdly large. I just don’t understand the choice but don’t think it bothers me all that much ultimately. Out of all the Inhumans including the updated characters, how does discounts fish-guy end up being the best figure?(!)

Also got Iron Man and Mandarin.

The updated shoulders and neck on Extremis are terrific. The hinged abdomen is the work of an imbecile. (sigh) It has to be part of their corporate strategy- never make any figure to the best of their ability, ever. Even the Maximums have all had varying deficiencies of some kind that seem intentional.

Mandarin’s neutral head looks oddly like Tony with long hair but I guess that’s poetic somehow. The suited body is… fine. Probably end up being kitbashed into another character and I’ll port the Mandarin head and hands onto either a Wenwu or Mordo body. Surely an animated green skinned version can’t be far away.

The work of an imbecile? The updated torso provides some of Hasbro's best range of motion!

More motion, yes. Not best, not even better, and that hinge isn’t even well engineered enough that it maintains the basic silhouette his abdomen should have if bending in that direction. In fact it looks like Tony should be dying of internal haemorrhaging when the joint is pushed to its extent, reminds me of the test footage of failed armours made by competitors when Tony gets called to a hearing in the second movie.

A ball joint at the pelvis is the logical and naturally fluid choice, and we know they can do it and often have, so not implementing it was clearly deliberate. If you feel imbecile is unwarranted, fine I’ll concede. The choice is the work of a sabotaging bastard.
