Marvel Legends Two-Packs

I got Kitty and Piotr today as well. Kitty's still too big, but slightly shorter then the last one. I don't notice the difference in yellows in person, just under some lighting in photos. Otherwise, this Kitty is definitely better then the last one. And for some reason, I like her hair down head alot more then the ponytail one. Not sure why. I'm a little confused about Lockheed though. One is shiny purple, one is flat purple, and every memory I have hes purple. But the one that came with Illiana is red. Isn't he purple? Is the red one just a generic demon? Or is it supposed to be Lockheed? When was he red?

Colossus is damn near perfect. The colors, the articulation, the size, the heads... this figure is amazing. Only thing I would change is the elbows to double elbows. He has a waist swivel, which is good enough for me, but I wouldn't have minded seeing what he'd be like with the ball joint waist.

Hasbro has been just killing it lately. Between all the lines they do that I buy, every one of them has gone up in quality and most of them are just fun ass figures. Some "meh" ones, that I'm still glad to have, but there haven't been any figures I've regretted getting from them in a while.

I had Kitty and Emma on my desk standing face to face to compare their heights, and while Emma inches out Kitty by like an eighth of an inch or so, they just look to be different scales. Like their faces aren’t in proportion to each other. Emma’s face is small. Much like if you compare Carol Danvers Ms Marvel to say, Jess Drew Spider-Woman. They’re not in scale with each other. Not a dealbreaker for me. But come on Hasbro, for a team like this, let’s get on the same page please.

Aside from my complaints on Kitty and the lack of properly sculpted new parts on her, this is the next major problem for me.. They knocked this team out so quickly, relatively speaking.. The scale discrepancies from figure to figure super frustrating. It's beyond just Kitty and Emma. Everyone is just slightly off in one way or another, but it all adds up. Do I like having them on my shelf? Sure. Just frustrating. It's hard not for this to feel intentional sometimes.

As the founder of the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, I cannot officially endorse the Marvel Legends Astonishing X-Men Kitty Pryde and Colossus two pack.

Unofficially, Kitty and Colossus have taken up residence on my home office desk and I’m enjoying having them there.

So nice to finally complete the Astonishing X-Men! These figures all came out great. Excellent upgrades.

Love the new face sculpts and face printing for Kitty.

Colossus has some beautiful silver. Nice new articulation. The left knee was so stuck that I thought it was melted together or something, but some hot water got it loose.

The photo itself is great, but agreed - these figures don't scale cohesively at all for the characters and looks they are based on.

Idc what you guys say though, cause, the scale issue aside, they are all beautiful figures. I don't regret any of them. They're fuckin fantastic. Lol.

For me it's Cyclops that really breaks up the cohesiveness. I never liked that figure. There's something about the proportions and silhouette that feels chunky and doesn't match the comic, and it stood out even more once you put it next to Emma and Logan. And of course Logan had his own proportion issues, but viewed as a whole, it's really Scott that takes me out.

I'm kinda with you on this. I don't have everyone in hand yet, but I think 90% of the scaling issues would be solved if Cyclops were a head or so taller.
