Browsing Hasbro Pulse I noticed that the reissued Hank & Jan 2-pack sold out.
You know, the re-issue that is now more money than the first go round.
This set has sold out twice, at least on Hasbro Pulse, at two different price points.
Dear Dan, Dwight, Jesse and whoever else may read this and report back:
Although it was alluded to that the lackluster Avengers 80th Anniversary sales put a damper on Avengers product going forward (at least that's what was inferred to me at SDCC 2024), I think this set proved TWICE that if you make the right Avengers set it will sell like hotcakes.
We know you're planning 2027, so please include any of the following sets in your 2027 lineup. They could all sell very well and get us Avengers fans some long missing classic Avengers.
I'll be doing a Part 2 soon wrapping up the rest of the classic Avengers... and maybe a few of their adversaries... Stay Tuned!
Yellowjacket and Wasp
1960s/early 1970s red and yellow suit or the early 1980s Perez bule and white suit.
In my opinion, these two Wasp suits would be the best for a Yellowjacket 2-pack.
Jan wore the red/yellow suit a lot in the mid-late 1960s to early 1970s. She also wore a variation of it in a later Marvel Team-Up story in the late 1970s. It's a classic.
Jan didn't wear the Perez blue and white suit very long, but it is iconic.
Other suits would be fine like the orange/gold Korvac Saga suit, but the first two suits I listed are more iconic.
Mantis & Swordsman - classic costumes
Classic Avengers. Both check off a lot of boxes. Both are represented in the MCU so they have some degree of notoriety.
Human Torch and Toro
I know Toro isn't an Avenger, but this 2-pack just makes the most sense. If Hasbro is unwilling to make a teen size body, swap in honorary Avenger Whizzer.
Hercules and Black Widow - 1970s costumes
They were quite the couple in the 70s.
This Hasbro Herc needs an update. 70s Widow in the turtleneck catsuit with the gold zipper and the big hair would be cool.
Stingray and Sub-Mariner
Classic pinless Namor
Steve Rogers/The Captain and Demolition Man
I would have put D-Man with classic Falcon but I'm holding out for hope that we'll see classic Falcon very very soon...
Steve's version of The Captain on any of the recent Cap bodies.
She-Hulk and Jack of Hearts
Jen's more recent costume and Jack with both a face exposed head and a classic helmet head.
Rick Jones and A-Bomb
Although Rick is technically an honorary Avenger, he still counts. This set would sell well.
Moondragon and Hellcat
Classic suit, non-thong Moondragon on a taller body, since she's usually taller than your standard Marvel heroine.
Pinless Hellcat on the super articulated body with a Hellcat head and a Cat head, plus the helmet "ears" are more cat like, not Batman like.
