the person recommending it used what I'd call a crayon pink, very standard. I used a dusty rose pink cos that's what I had on hand and it worked really well. (I prime in black and the pink layer made a huge difference in how true the yellow read.)
(EDIT: If it helps, I use Vallejo Model Color exclusively - tried it out with Dusty Rose and Brown Rose (both are actually soft pink one is a big brighter than the other) and Flat Yellow, Deep Yellow, and Ice Yellow.)
