Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Shocked, SHOCKED I tell you to hear negative reactions here over this figure. He is fucking awesome. Sold! Am I supposed to go back to 2020 ish??? The Maximum series is bangers; I think people who historically collect this line are happy with reused bodies, different heads and low prices. I never was. This sculpt is far far beyond the 2016 Deadpool and he has some quality weapons not to mention Doop. I like the alt head. I would have preferred a Liefeld version actually, but this will be another great addition. Hulk is actually my favorite of the bunch so far.

I don't know if this line goes past Thor given the vitriol, but I sure hope it does. A Magneto with effect, proper Jim Lee Cyclops, Iceman, Mr. Fantastic would be amazing. Maybe a Green Goblin, Cable or Human Torch if they can. Definitely pulling for it.

He does look like a nice figure. Just not a $50 nice figure. The new sculpt is great, but we get new sculpts in the $25 dollar range too. I think people are generally not happy with the value and missed opportunity on making something more special (like multiple eye options). All this said, I'm sure he'll look fantastic on the shelf and I hope you enjoy him!

When they get to Thor, I just really hope they stick with the classic version. Mafex dropped the ball on him, and now it's in Hasbro's hands to give us what we need!
 
I’ve honestly would have accepted the Cable & Deadpool costume over the Marvel Now! look. As it stands I’ll happily accept the Deadpool that came with the Hydra Bob figure.

I was hoping for this Deadpool to be from that era as well. Essentially the classic costume. Option for the teleporter chest circle thing. No question this is a nice figure. Just not a costume choice everyone will love for essentially "the best Deadpool figure we'll ever release".

I mean, you can like it. Not sure why you're so put out by other people not liking it, though. It's not like everyone is just 'boo 50 dollars.' There's other legitimate concerns like the options chosen, costume chosen, etc. It's perfectly valid to be critical of a figure Hasbro wants 50 dollars for. Personally, yeah, I don't think it's worth it. If it was a different costume? Maybe. I'd need to see it to make a decision, but I have to think I probably wouldn't buy a 50 dollar Deadpool that doesn't, minimally, include more head options. At the least I want half-masked, serious, and crazy-eye heads. But also, I don't give a fuck about Doop, which is clearly supposed to be a selling point here. So this one just isn't for me.

Oh I would absolutely love a first appearance Deadpool. I don’t think we’ve seen that costume in toy form since the early 90’s

Man, I'm mixed. I put a cloth cape on the anniversary Thor and absolutely love that figure. Sure it can be improved on with butterfly joints, pinless joints and multiple heads, but damn if I don't want a crazy-good Coipel Thor. That run is so damn good. Classic can be used in more displays, but I still think I want Coipel Thor more.
 
Great for those who don't have a Deadpool already. Happy with my Bob 2pk Deadpool. Seems like mostly an accessory pack for $50. More heads would be better than just pack in weapons. I think machine pistols of some sort would have been better than just tossing in random G.I. Joe weapons, personally. Probably more in line with those who like the modern comics look. Maximum is 0:3 for me. I'm sure this will sell out initially though.
 
I like that he has two pistol holsters and only one is a thigh holster. I like that he has decent articulation for a ML.

I dislike those tiny swords, the lack of head variety, rubbery Hasbro rifles, and those ugly blast effects.

Personally I like the boxed/retro Deadpool the most, the smaller one with butterfly shoulders. Might have bought this if it were in that style.

I don't hate this DP. I think this has more value in the package than both Spider-Man and Hulk, as well. He probably falls shy of $50 of value in my book though. The sculpt is nice, I particularly like the sculpted seam lines on the costume. I don't know that I necessarily NEED this figure though. It just feels like they're charging $50+ for toe hinges and some extra accessories. I was joking earlier with some friends that Maximum Iron Man will just be the Extremis armor again with added base of the neck articulation and toe hinges with a full Stark head sculpt thrown in.
 
The 2pk Deadpool that came with Bob also had toe hinges. It uses the RYV Spidey body.
