Marvel Legends Maximum Series

TL;DR - YUCK.

Why is Doop's "bottom" a different color than the literal one color of the rest of him? He couldn't have the little hole drilled into just that part so his whole skin actually matches? Why this route? It looks awful.

Hasbro did a half-mask Deadpool WAY better with Boxerspool. This version looks like his skin is being ripped off his face and rolled up. Nothing about that looks right and the teeth are awful.

All I hoped for in a Maximum DP was a lot of heads with different expressions, or interchangeable eyeplates so I could have some fun. I have eight billion hands and weapons already. This release fills zero of my desires.

So we got one new sculpt, an alt head, one pack-in, and accessories - this is a $30 pack at MOST. There is no value here worth $50. Toe joints aren't $20, but - I do like the personality they add here. And the finger guns.

Also, are his katanas a little short? Or is that accurate?

The short katanas are more accurate to his first appearance - but that doesn't jive at all with the actual figure here.

I almost have to admire Hasbro for their sheer audacity.

Having said that, I don’t begrudge anyone that orders one. I’m sure we’ve all paid a lot more for a lot less at one point or another.

So I just had a thought since I’ve been messing around with this Capcom Wolverine and thinking more about the potentiality of a Maximum Series Wolverine at some point in the future. What if the Wolverine they gave us was a Battle Damaged Wolverine? But it also included extra head sculpts for the feral look, a berserker Wolverine that had the big hair, a couple pairs of hands with bone claws and broken bone claws so that way we have a whole bunch of parts that we can apply to our other various tiger stripe Wolverine figures, but we get the extra incentive of having a battle damaged version so it’s not just a complete rerelease?

I'd prefer a "Maximum" version of Wolverine to be undamaged, but they can certainly add damaged shoulder pads and a mucked up headsculpt - same as the last 12 inch scale Wolverine release... which should honestly be a template for a Maximum figure.

I like it but I once again do not see the value here. For 35 bucks, sure. But for this price I think I'd need several more head sculpts and maybe some big katanas to feel somewhat worth it

I passed on Maximum Hulk and will probably pass on this unless it goes on clearance

I said this on another thread, but will repeat here: the only Deadpool figure I have in my collection is the Juggernaut wave one, which has the exact same costume as this one. That figure is a bit dated, but it still looks decent on the shelf. Doop isn't a character I really need in my collection, and most of these accessories seem to be previously released stuff. It's a good looking figure, but once again I don't see $50 worth of value. Had it come with multiple heads or plates for different eye expressions, or been priced around $35, I might have considered it. So far, Hasbro has yet to entice me to get a "Maximum" figure, and I guess my wallet is happy for that.

That is Rock 'n Roll's gun. I guess there goes the whole no parts reuse across lines thought.
I always understood that to be a prohibition that only went one way. A sculpt created for a licensed product can't be reused in a different line, but Hasbro is free to reuse things they own free and clear as they see fit. So a Classified original reused for Marvel Legends - fine. A ML original reused for Classified - nah.

I was squarely in the target demo for this one. I'm in the market for a red Deadpool and I'm willing to pay $50 for a good one. I'm passing.

This is fine. I can't understand the costume choice. Shin guards look incredibly fucking goofy on a superhero. MAFEX did the Marvel NOW! look better years ago.

The only Maximum costume choice I've understood is Spider-Man. Hulk with the bizarre heads and now Marvel NOW! Deadpool. Befuddling.

My biggest complaint is the lack of alternate heads. I would trade all the long guns or Doop for additional heads. How do you make a Deadpool figure without the iconic eyes?
