Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Got Deapool, and he’s a ton of fun. So many expressive hand options! The sculpted costume details are appreciated. Like Norm mentioned, I I love how Deadpool can store so much of his gear in his holsters and scabbards. Fun set of guns, too. I’m using the giant sci-if looking gun for now.

I love the Doop figure, glad he has ball hinge shoulders and a stand to float on. He's slightly smaller than the TB version, and maybe not quite as good a likeness as the TB version? Maybe I need to research images and compare side to side.

Watch Robo's review because he discusses this. I think he said the Toy Biz version matches how Doop looked in one book and the newer one matches how he looked in more modern books.

I think one Doop is X-Statix and one is X-Force. I don’t know enough about the character to know which is which. I will say, because of the very limited articulation and simple design, Toy Biz Doop holds up in a display probably better than any other Legends release from that era.

I hate calling them X-Force.. but sorta.

The regular circle X is the original X-Statix team when they had just taken over the X-Force book. The funky one where the X isn't completely inside the circle and has the pointy leg on it, I guess you'd say?... is from later when the book was renamed for X-Statix.

Yeah I have both on my desk. The TB looks more like Allred’s art too, while the Hasbro looks more generalized by other artists. TB is also nearly twice as big but totally hollow, Hasbro Doop feels more solid.

I have both versions of Doop in hand and chose to keep the Toy Biz version in my display and the Hasbro Maximum one got thrown in with my Marvel Universe 3 3/4" stuff in a tote. Max Deadpool took his rightful spot in my display though displacing the Hydra Bob 2-pack version, which I still really like though.

When the original Toybiz DP and Doop came out I was unaware of any connection between the two characters. 20 years and $42 later, I am still unaware of any connection between the two characters. Have they shared any grand adventures in the comics I am unaware of?
