Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Yeah, I was seeing if this was legit because that Wolverine outfit is so stupid. "Let's mix his first 2 outfits together. We'll call it an amalgam."

When you're playing Wolverine vs Wolverine (or any other character versus themselves) in the game the second one has a different color scheme, and that's why these are different colors.

Yeah the P2 Wolverine does have a silly blue belt on an otherwise brown and yellow outfit, despite what you might expect.

Never really been a gamer, so didn't realize that. Well, I had a Commodore 64 and my (still) best but had an Atari 2600, but other than those, never really gamed.

Hypebeast culture is ... closely connected to sneaker collecting...
Heh -
I decided to get a pair of Seattle Seahawks color branded Nike's (to wear at times for game watching, not collect) and preferred the version from a few years ago, so found a pair in my size on eBay for what was the original retail. Took two weeks to arrive because eBay sent the sneakers to a third party to "verify their authenticity" and I got the sneakers with a certificate saying so. I found that highly amusing.

Whatever you do, don't mention you don't recall what a Dreamcast is - I made that mistake to my (apparent) shame...

This seems like a good Wiki primer on what... exactly this is:

Hypebeast culture is often associated with logo-heavy clothing and the practice of purchasing multiple designer items to display wealth and trend awareness. It is closely connected to sneaker collecting and resale markets, where limited release shoes are bought for the purpose of reselling at higher prices. This practice has been criticized for prioritizing financial gain and prestige over cultural or stylistic significance.
Thanks very much for the primer. Now I know *for sure* that I totally hate it.

I can't believe I spent $60 +tax on the Venom/Cap set just a couple months ago and I can get it today from Target for ~$32 +tax

Target Outback Storm is already on discount and Mystique, the preorder she popped with still hasn't shipped.

Another reason why buying off Amazon sucks: only one month return window on toys. Target, I add to my wedding registry and use my circle card, I get like six months :ROFLMAO:

I've never heard of Kith so this is really out of left field for me.

I'm not interested in these alternate skins, and having the Kith branding on them is so bizarre because it makes them not accurate to MvC, which is the thing that they're being marketed as...

I mean, if they want to Kith brand a bright pink Shuma Gorath, I might be tempted. But otherwise, yikes…

Kith has some cool 90s X-Men attire if you want to dress like a 12yr old from 35 years ago. I like the designs but it's always massively overpriced and you could probably just make it yourself with the art of your choice and a reliable t-shirt vendor.

The shoes were cool artistically (made to look like each X-Men character) and coming with a FOIL! Jim Lee card reprint. Not paying hundreds of dollars for that sorry. I have Mondo stuff to waste my sheckels on!

If you really wanted to play the waiting game for things, I'd venture to say like 80% of Legends go on sale at some point. And maybe 10% end up selling out where'd you'd have to pay aftermarket prices. You could probably wait for everything and still end up saving money in the long run.

Like Shuma Gorath. I'm sure he'll probably get marked down eventually, but I'm willing to pay real just to have him now vs next spring
