Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I mean I think the lack of immediate sell out was easily predictable on Gargantos. He's big, so he's a display space eater in a collection that gets more and more crowded every month.

Second he's a minor character in the grand Marvel scheme of things. Sure he was a factor in the video game but how many comic appearances have you read with him (it?)? And its not a great match for movie only collectors.

Third is the price. While its actually less expensive than I thought it would be, $70 is still a big ask - especially in a time when all of this product is going to drop at once.

You combine all those factors together and I don't think its that surprising at all that it wasn't an instant sell out.
To add to this - I could be mistaken, but I don't think even Blob sold out on preorders. He sold through pretty quickly once he released, though. The other non-exclusive MvC sets also haven't pre-sold out yet.

Ah sorry. That was the one word I glossed over

All good, just pointing it out! It's a small sample size anyway, and undoubtedly they made more of the sets featuring Wolvie/Cap/Psylocke/ than Shuma-Gorath, so it's really anybody's guess what the presales mean at this point.

So, regarding Gargantos/Shuma, Amazon and other sites have his release date as November 1, Gamestop has him listed as releasing on September 1, and Deep Discount says he releases on August 1.
What's with all the discrepancy? Do we have a reliable official release date??

Psylocke is already available in some countries so I think most of these are coming sooner than later. OR - they are releasing on time (August) in all other countries BUT the US and we will get them when we get them. Target still says August for Psylocke, though.

I've been trying to see if I could figure out which wave(s) hit during the tariffs and it seems so far to be limited to Spidey Gamer-verse. Emo Tobey, X-Factor Jean may have squeaked in just before, along with Maximum Hulk and GV Venom. TBD on '97 Wolverine and Rogue, but no sign they aren't going to hit this weekend as always planned (probably came in with Jean). But the Gamerverse wave has the most fluctuating prices.

Are you talking about the MCU Mark III repaint armor? I'd buy it but I'd rather get a redo of the Initiative era armor first.

I meant the Initiative Armor. Rhodey was a cyborg in that suit, I think? It was white and black with green energy beams and green holographic displays. Had a cool, but under-sized and now outdated figure.

The MCU Iron Man repaint cyborg War Machine from his own series in Dark Reign had such a cool power set in the comics. I’d buy a a new figure of that armor, too because I loved the comic. Although its basic configuration isn’t my favorite.

ANY armor?

Yes! Even that War Machine! But it wouldn’t be my top choice. But it would be very different looking at least.

I don't remember the exact timeline of Rhodey being a cyborg honestly. I always associated that with the Dark Reign era and not the Initiative, but it could very well be both. Either way, I'd take both suits. Hell, I have my MCU Mark II figure disassembled to repaint into the Dark Reign armor myself, eventually, but I like the Initiative design way more and would love for Hasbro to prioritize that look for Rhodey's next release.

Are you joking? This is Hasbro we are talking about. If release dates say December then that typically means August. You should know this. They always try to get ahead of retail stores planograms and merchandising requirements for the various sales quarters. They so much as admitted this on a livestream a few years ago. Also it is no secret that their big announcements and projects for a given year get top billing while their typical BAF, retro carded waves and MCU stuff tend to have extended presale windows and street dates.

I got an email from target with a new release date for Psylocke/Thanos. The new date is "estimated--".
