Marvel Legends Gamerverse

EBGames in Canada sent out the whole line, minus the Anti-Venom Peter - which I was least excited for since it was essentially a pretty bland repaint. I hope I like it more in-hand when it eventually ships. The new dedicated sculpt on the 2099 Miles is really good. I wish that effort went into one of the costumes I actually cared about.
 
I’m just gonna say that the black suit Spidey in this wave is absolutely awesome and maybe the best version of this suit ever. I actually really dig the whole wave, and I say that as someone with zero exposure to the game.
 
I just got the Spider-Man 2 Venom and holy potatoes this guy is huge. Definitely the largest 6” scale venom I’ve ever laid my hands on by far. I think if I can trick myself into seeing past the design of the figure and the medium it hails from, this actually might make for a nice Mack Gargan Thunderbotls/Dark Avengers Venom figure

So Brooklyn, Boricua and Black Cat arrived last night and I will say, Im not disappointed. I debated about whether to order this Black Cat, because I have solid comic based figures of her, but the figure turned out nice, even if it wont be the default Felicia on my shelf.

Brooklyn 2099 has a little Snake Eyes Jr look to him which I dig.

The only thing about Boricua that bugs me just the tiniest bit is that he has the painted web lines on his hands, but nowhere else. Why couldnt the hands just have been plain red? Or maybe sculpted raised unpainted weblines on the hands like he has on his collarbone. I get this is on the game designers not the toy designers, but it still looks weird.

So in checking the game wiki to verify that the web lines were indeed supposed to be present - since my family owns the game but ive never played a minute of it - I came across a bunch of other awesome looks from the game that I now want as figures.

The ones I need on my shelf, in no particular order are:

Crimson Cowl suit
Miles Morales 2020 suit
S.T.R.I.K.E. suit
Advanced Suit 2.0 style 4 - orange/white
Evolved suit style 3 - white w/ light blue
Last Hunt suit - fur collar, come on!
Arachknight suit - honestly, they could maybe sell this one to me three times, the alt colrs are so strong with all blue, and then the red/yellow

There are so many cool suit designs in this game and I would keep buying them.
 
I received Black Cat and Black Suit from Amazon today. Love the texture on the Black Suit. Black Cat is pretty great too.

I'm not sure if I'm going to pick up any others from this particular wave. If they did more, I'd love to have Miles' Tokusatsu suit. It's badass.
 
After getting this venom figure it might be a stretch but do you think we could get the giant venom collective from Spider-Man web of shadows as a Haslab?

Pulse is getting ready to ship this wave. I'm always a sucker for a good Spider-suit variant but I'm really mostly curious to see how Felicia looks - I loved her gamerverse costume redesign and have been hoping they'd do it well since the first game came out.

I would have liked a different neck than the hinge, but I'm a heathen.

Great to hear. been looking forward to this figure since she showed up to torment Peter in the first Playstation game.
 
All this talk about how cool Black Cat is and I just got a notification Pulse has pushed mine back to June 23. I mean I can wait but dang I was psyched to get this wave soon.
 
I picked up Miles Brooklyn 2099 and Boricua suit that I found at Target yesterday. I'm a sucker for patriotic/flag based costumes so I couldn't resist then I had to look up the word Boricua. I can't believe that at 48 I hadn't heard the term before. My stupid brain kept autofilling Bohica suit when I saw the word. That would be... different.
 
I'm not usually a flag uniform guy myself, but the Boricua suit has echoes of Bucky's Cap suit in how it uses color and black and I always fricken LOVED Bucky's Cap suit, so I was like yeah, I gotta get this Miles. I really am a stupidly easy mark for cool revisionings of either Miles or Peter's (or heck, Ben's and Caine's and Miguel's) suits. I just love the variety. The best part of the PS games were like OH, I get to unlock ALL THESE SUITS???
 
Man, that Juggernaut and Shuma are mine, prices be damned. I want Wolverine and Psylocke, but until they go on sale or are sold in single units, I'll pass. Caps shield effect is cool, but I like my Cap's with chainmail, so hopefully it gets reused in the future in a single release as well with a better Cap. Only 2 immediate purchases for me.
 
When the leak list comes out, I jot down which figures I might be interested in. Between costume choice and figure improvement, I usually only wind up with about 50% of what I jot down. I want all of the MvC stuff.

I'd love to split a Cap/Venom pack with someone. I'm only interested in Venom.

I'm in for that, Psylocke/Thanos, and maaaybe Juggernaut and Wolverine. That's saying something, because I'm decidedly not a tiger-stripe guy.
