This summarizes my approach, as well. I was born to be an MCU completist, but the MCU beat it out of me.I don’t think I’ve outright hated any of the D+ shows, but some felt more like homework. The two I disliked most were Secret Invasion and Falcon and Winter Soldier. They’re the two I don’t remember as well because I was a little bored watching them. And I dropped off of What If. I’ve always liked the concept of What If more than the result, even with the books. I haven’t watched the newest stuff (Ironheart, the Wakanda show), but I might. There’s just so much stuff fighting for my attention that I basically need to hear good things before diving in because life is too short.
They feel like homework because I find most of them a chore to watch. Falcon and Winter Soldier was the first one where I was like, "Whoa, they have no idea what they're doing." For the most part, I think the MCU shows were better than the Star Wars shows, but it was a combination of the two that killed Disney+ shows for me.
I was indifferent to/didn't like Falcon and Winter Soldier, What If S1, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel. I noped out between those, Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan. As a result, I didn't bother with Secret Invasion, What If S2, Echo, Ironheart, and Eyes of Wakanda.
Now I cherrypick what I want to watch. It makes for a far better viewing experience.
