Feige was far more circumspect about whether audiences can expect to see other A-list MCU cameos — like Charlize Theron’s Clea, Brett Goldstein’s Hercules, Harry Styles’ Starfox and Sacha Baron Cohen’s Mephisto — again in later projects.
“Do you want to see them again?” Feige asked playfully.
When a reporter responded that the inclusion of those characters indicates a promise that they would return at some point, Feige brought up the return of Tim Blake Nelson’s character Samuel Sterns from 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk” for 2025’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” and Rolf Saxon’s character William Donloe from 1996 “Mission: Impossible” for 2025’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
“That is fun to me,” he said. “So let’s talk again in 12 years and see who comes back.”
What about major characters like Moon Knight or the Eternals — would they return?
“I don’t know that it’s any of the specific ones you just named, but yes, that is part of the plan: Characters we’ve introduced post-‘Endgame’ will pop up again in some of the upcoming movies and beyond,” Feige said. “The fun of the comics is anyone popping up anywhere.”
I am in 100% agreement all around. Scarlet Scarab should get AT LEAST a Marvel Presents episode for that series I know they won't do.Similar to the Demi god idea pitched above; I always thought Moon Knight always works best when the audience isn’t sure if Khonshu is real or if Marc is just crazy. Leaning that hard into “yeah the gods are real” in Moon Knight is its weakest element. Would have been cheaper to keep it more grounded. May Kalamay was awesome though.
I haven't thought one way or the other about that, but I definitely feel they should do more smaller stories will minimal effects. I've said plenty of times, but not everything needs to be a bunch of CG destruction porn.I have similar thoughts that Ms Marvel should have been kept “smaller”
Taika got it SO right with Ragnarok, and got it so wrong with L&T. Casting Brett was just one more mistake to top off that wack movie.
I don't know if Ragnarok is still enough Marvel. It plays loosely with the storyline upon which it's based (World War Hulk) and takes liberties with characters like Valkyrie and the Grandmaster. As does L&T (Godbutcher, Gorr, Jane Foster respectively). I just felt the tone for L&T was too light, that Gorr was not depicted as the threat he is in the book. But yeah, it's a lot of Taika humor, which he/they thought they could get away with even more. That's not the only thing that made Ragnarok good though. The problem with Love and Thunder is there was too much Taika and not enough Marvel. Someone really should have been there to rein him in a bit.
But I guess the higher ups at Marvel Studios were too busy making all those TV shows. Hopefully they learned something about spreading themselves too thin.
Yes!!!! Same. Ramy is up there on my list of shows where I can't stand the main character. I get characters need to be flawed and all that but Ramy really put my patience to the test. So much of the rest of the cast kept me watching though, and she was far and away the primary reason.May is so great in “Ramy”. I’m in favor of her in anything.
Okay, I definitely see that, thank you!The reason I think it would have worked better keeping Ms Marvel smaller is because it would play up her being out of her element / over her skis in The Marvels. I mean she freaks out being inf outer space and dealing with aliens and what not which is good for natural comedy and character. However she’s a superhero that has already time travelled and gone to other dimensions. Just dial all that back.
I think almost everyone has to be in agreement with this. The problem with Love and Thunder is there was too much Taika and not enough Marvel. Someone really should have been there to rein him in a bit.
I'm sure they learned something, but I doubt it's what I wanted them to learn. But I guess the higher ups at Marvel Studios were too busy making all those TV shows. Hopefully they learned something about spreading themselves too thin.
