Seems like a good set of listings. I hope they don’t reinvent the wheel and just make the new Hulk look like he did at the end of Ragnarok. Long overdue. Not as long as the Iron Man mk45 though. Hope they can squeeze that into that evergreen line someday if they aren’t going back to do anniversary sets or anything.
Did I.... Did I post this?! 'end of Ragnarok' is my ideal Hulk. I got a high-end Ragnarok Hulk head to put on the Endgame BAF body (surprisingly, the green matched) for my only Hulk right now. And I finally got down to two Iron Man figures, but the 45 would be my first choice for a third!
I dont think I need another Bucky figure. Happy enough with my villain one and the FAWS version. But, I would happily buy a Taskmaster/Ghost 2 pack
Did I... Did I post this? Actually, the F&WS figure is my only Bucky, but I'm honest fine with that if they never do the Thunderbolts figure. Taskmaster and Ghost are big fat wants for me. I just assume if we get those, we have to have Bucky too. And if they make him, I would probably get him.
So far I’m down for probably 6 out of the 9 Doomsday figures. I know the movie’s been pushed to the end of the year, but I really hope they manage to squeeze out a second wave in 2026. The cast list is huge
NO KIDDING! If any movies deserve a full wave, let along a second wave, it has got to be the Avengers movies, right? BUT... to break down the officially announced cast:
- Thor - last figure was Love & Thunder, so makes sense to get a new one
- Invisible Woman - we just got her this year, so she (and the rest of the FF... and some of the Thunderbolts) may get the same treatment the Guardians got for Infinity War.
- Sam Wilson - we did just get him, so it would make sense if they skipped him.... but a repaint (even if not screen accurate) wouldn't surprised me either.
- Bucky - last figure was F&WS? Or the villain version also from that show, so he's due. Especially after Thunderbolts. I don't care if it bombed!
- Shuri - last figure was WF, so makes sense for a new one, especially if her suit has changed.
- Ant-Man - last figure was Quantumania, would make sense to get a new one, or do a static micro figure as someone's accessory
- US Agent - see Invisible Woman
- Namor - last figure was WF, so makes sense for a new one, especially if he has a new suit.
- Thing - see Invisible Woman
- Shang-Chi - last figure was his solo movie, so makes sense for a new one, especially if he has a new suit.
- Yelena - see Invisible Woman, as much as that pains me.
- Beast - never done, gotta do
- Sentry - see Invisible Woman
- Falcon - see Sam Wilson
- Human Torch - see Invisible Woman
- Red Guardian - see Invisible Woman
- M'Baku - last figure was from Black Panther, and a re-release before WF but he had a new suit in WF and may have a new one here, so a new figure would make sense even if it's a movie behind.
- Ghost - last figure was Ant-Man & The Wasp, so with her appearance in Thunderbolts and now this, it's time.
- Loki - last figure was for the Loki show, season 1, right? It's time.
- Professor X - last figure was the anniversary series or whatever it was. Probably a repaint, maybe with a new chair?
- Magneto - same as Chuck, only that body was very movie specific, so a new figure would make sense here.
- Nightcrawler - never done, and if they're going for more comicy suits in the movie, makes sense for him to be in the wave
- Mystique - she was done in the anniversary series so an easy repaint
- Cyclops - see Nightcrawler
- Gambit - never done, and after reactions to him in DP&W, kinda surprising. Back in my day, billion dollar movies got a second wave!
- Mr. Fantastic - see Invisible Woman
- Doctor Doom - of course. Never done, etc etc.
So, with all that... by my personal count, we have 12 that make sense to get a new figure (Thor, Bucky, Shuri, Ant-Man, Namor, Shang-Chi, M'Baku, Ghost, Loki, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, ), 10 that just got a figure and make sense to skip (Invisible Woman, Sam Wilson, US Agent, Thing, Yelena, Sentry, Falcon, Human Torch, Red Guardian, Mr. Fantastic) 5 that haven't been done for the MCU before and should get something (Beast, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Gambit, Doom)
And that's just the announced people from that all-day youtube video. There are a few others already named by the trades a while ago, and likely some surprises as well.
Some of those we are going to be whining about for years to come.
I assume it will get a 2nd wave. Just a matter if it will be like the NWH wave 2 like 2 years later or a few months later like they did for IW/EG. Secret Wars should also be getting a wave or 2
Endgame even had a third wave! it was partly repaints I think... but still! I'll take a third wave of partly repaints for Doomsday.
And good point with Secret Wars; who knows which characters can get the same figure for both movies, thus be held back for the second one. For instance, all the blipped people in IW didn't need a figure/could have been released for Endgame. I have no idea if that will apply for anyone at all, maybe it won't.
