Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

I know it'll end up being an absurd amount of money for a big hollow head (light up eyes or not), but it'll still be cheaper and take up less room (vertically, at least) than a HasLab MCU Galactus, assuming we ever get one. I don't ever expect to find it in theaters either, but I've noticed it's started to pop up on a couple theater websites and darnit if I'm not tempted.... If you'd have told me a couple years ago I'd become this invested in popcorn buckets, I'd say you were crazy.

For the record, if you are a Cinemark Movie Club member, you can trade 1 ticket credit for 12 bucks off the bucket, and I think this week they were taking 20% buckets for members also.

Not that I would know anything about that. Not like I used ticket credits to get a cheaper bucket just now

I wouldn't fault you even if you hypothetically did.

I don't care about Galactus. I hunger. For popcorn with layered butter.

I only have AMC theaters by me, but I have little interest in that Galactus head anyway.

Got the full wave today from Pulse and opened them up after work. These are just... beautiful toys. They move and pose well, they have a really interesting texture to the uniforms that makes them feel different from other figures, they're fun to pose and move... I think Johnny's face sculpt is the only one a little bit off but it's still recognizably him. And the nice little details, too. Silver Surfer coming with a hand to CARRY HER BOARD that's just lovely. The board textured to look like a slap of space metal. Torch's up up and away outstretched hands. Not crazy about the lack of hinge on Sue's shield hand, but it makes sense since that hand needs to support the weight of her force field (and they ship other hands with her to swap out anyway).

It's been a minute since I've bought some MCU figures but I'm glad I got these before seeing the movie. They have a vibe to them that makes me want to keep them on my desk to mess with while I'm in Zoom meetings, like they're just fun to have in hand.

Wholeheartedly agree. Just such a well done, fun wave, and my favorite may arguably not even be one of the F4 themselves. Surfer went from perhaps my least anticipated to perhaps my favorite. She just really has such presence on the shelf. The only thing she was missing was some sort of a "Cowabunga" hand. 😂 Obviously since she can, I want to keep her in as crazy a pose as possible, but my only concern is seeing how the joints hold up over time, especially in warmer weather.

Yeah, I was meh in another Surfer figure but she’s fantastic (ba dum ts). I can’t get her leaning forward to grab the top her her board, but she can get into some very dramatic, fast-looking poses.

Man... I hope Thing is screen accurate to the movie...

I got Sue and the Torches from EB Games - great figures but Sue has a pretty large area by the '4' that looks like it was exacto bladed. No idea what the hell happened, but I'll end up having to exchange it. That aside, it's a pretty great figure. Will be excited to complete the team... and get the inevitable updates for Doomsday.

Are you talking about him appearing with no shirt and the blue pants like the figure has? In one of the shorts linked below they released you see him dressed like that in several scenes, and there was also a shot of him shirtless in the first trailer where he's dragging a ship through water by an anchor chain pictured below.

Glad to see how much love this wave is getting! The last year and a half or so have been pretty rough as a primarily MCU collector, it's nice to see the ML team really come back swinging with these guys.

I haven't snapped any pics of it yet, but I came up with a quick and easy way to give Sue a bit more of a powered up look. Silver Surfer's hands are sort of translucent and they fit Sue perfectly, so I stuck the open palm set on her. It doesn't look too bad honestly.

Got Ben in from Amazon today, and he's very nice. Love this whole wave, and I can only pray we keep getting them in before the films release in the future because it really does make me look forward to the film far more having them in hand. 🥳
