Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

I wanted to try to get a shot of the new figures with Galactus tonight but I forgot how effin huge he is—I need to break out a proper backdrop for him cos my usual setup wasn’t stable enough for him. Ended up just grabbing a quick pic in the kitchen. Anyway—the family looks so nice staring him down:

Are you talking about him appearing with no shirt and the blue pants like the figure has? In one of the shorts linked below they released you see him dressed like that in several scenes, and there was also a shot of him shirtless in the first trailer where he's dragging a ship through water by an anchor chain pictured below.

Excellent... excellent.

It's crazy how long we need to wait for the Thunderbolts figures when their costumes were all practical (aka aren't delayed by last minute VFX finalization). I'm still excited for em, and I hope we also get a Ghost & Bucky... but the excitement is wearing off.

Punisher and DD however... that excitement only intensifies. The wait for another Punisher update will only be a year, which is a lot better than 8 years between :)

So it seems like that may be the only time he has the look in the movie (that shot of him jumping into the water I'll bet is right before he pulls the ship). Still, it may be the unpopular opinion, but I actually kinda prefer the shirtless look for the figure, even if it doesn't fully match the others. I'm far more used to seeing a shirtless Thing in the comics and movies, and it makes the sculpt a lot more interesting than just making a big bulky sweater. I'll see what they end up doing with the costumes for Doomsday, but at least for now, I think the figures are perfect as-is, looks-wise

I initially hated the sweater look for Thing, and given that there is a shirtless option I can see why the Hasbro team went with it... but I do prefer the shirt look now. Strange as that is...

Same here, exactly

I prefer the version with the shirt personally. But it's the Thing. I am happy I have him and the rest at all

What is even going on with the Punisher figure? Amazon europe had his release set for today. I was befuddled, as there had been no reviews/leaks so far (hell, we haven't seen anything but renders of him) and other countrys tend to have these figures earlier as we do. Still, I was pretty stoked. And sure enough, I can order him normally now (not as a pre-order), but it says, delivery might be due in three to seven month. Bummer.

I think when we get the Thing with shirt figure, just give him the beard head from the trailer. Boom, excuse for people to own both!

Got the whole wave from Pulse but I only had time to open up Silver Surfer. She came out great! Really nice poseability. She reminds me of the comics when Ultron got a techno-organic body to look like a silver skinned Wasp and fought Sentry. Just a really nice figure. Can’t wait to open the rest.

Surfer's board is endlessly frustrating. The peg hole is in the wrong spot, and there should be two!! I can't get her to stay up without a lot of work, and then the entire thing topples over.

At least her ankles have a ton of range.

Yea, that's the same as all of Hasbro's other Surfer figures though. So I'm used to having to be careful with it. I've used the Marvel Select board that has two pegs until now, but this new Shalla-Bal surfboard looks better with the heat scarring so that's enough to motivate me to keep dealing with the balancing for now.

Would any sort of sticky tack or clear tape work? I'm sure it's a case-by-case basis and depends on how strong the individual figure's ankle joints are, but I'd assume it would help in holding her at least a little. I assume we're all trying to balance her on the flight effect stand, and not just laying flat?
