Where was THAT from--HLJ? I'm letting stuff sit in my warehouse there until they offer a more reasonable shipping method.

So far the only places I know of with reasonable shipping prices are nin-nin-game, AmiAmi, and Amazon Japan.

Sucks for him, but it also looks like an exceedingly easy fix although I wasn't sure of it. I'm guessing the glue holding the two halves of the torso broke or was never applied correctly, but it could also be one of the connection points on the torso broke.

I was just double-checking my rogue pre-order and my shipping from Amazon Japan is now 70 Canadian dollars on top of the figure.

I'm not seeing that high a price to America. Here's a list of the charges on an SH Figuarts Obi-Wan Kenobi figure sold by Amazon Japan shipped to Richmond, Virginia USA:

Items: ¥8,708
Shipping & handling: ¥3,124
Import Charges: ¥1,633
Order total: ¥13,465

That's $88 total in American funds. If you add more items to a shipment it doesn't go up much for each one over that 3124 yen price; maybe 500 yen per item. The tariffs go up constantly for each item but not the shipping.
 
I got nothin'. It wasn't that much when I placed the order in 2024, either. It is from Amazon Japan as the seller. Wasn't that much on my last few Figma or Mafex.
 
When the MAFEX re-issue came up for pre-order, I went out on a limb and ordered him from Playasia, apparently a legit Chinese shop, seems to mostly sell video games. Figure was $71, but $20 shipping, $91 total. I'll report back if I get hit with more tariffs locally, but since it's coming from China and not Japan I think I might be safe. They just sent my shipping notice.

Anyway, thought I'd give you guys a heads up since Magneto is in stock. Might be the cheapest spot if there aren't any more bribes/tariffs levied at final drop off.

Beats me. Used to be DHL teleportation for like 10 bucks. Changed last year, around the same time they also sometimes charge up front on POs.

I use them less and less, but past five years they were my go to.
