MAFEX Marvel Figures

I was mostly goofing on Mafex, but in my perfect world, Mafex would release a statement saying they scrapped the soft goods.

I don’t think that would ever happen. Medicom typically doesn’t switch gears towards the tail end of the preorder window, or at any stage of the development process. These figures for the most part are made to order and there is too great a risk of mass cancellations if customers suddenly find out they’ve been bait and switched. Even if it was announced as an official change by the company.

Hopefully Medicom has learned a few things about sourcing materials since their 12" days.

I saw some dudes arguing on socials earlier and was struck by a bone chilling realisation:

Given how hard Medicom are going with just modest-to-failed flicks like Aquaman, Black Adam, and The Flash, what are the odds they'll go absolutely mental over Deadpool & Wolverine, and thus many monthly slots from here to eternity will be taken up by various Logan and Wade variants. Masked & sleeveless, brown suit, tiny Wolverine, Cavill Wolverine, AoA Weapon X.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine Hugh Jackman's boot stamping on your face—forever.

(but yeah, I'd totes get a brown suit one, don't judge me)

I would support it if it wasn't for how slow they are. There's so much Hush they owe me. Still want Queen Maeve. The 90s X-Men (I always assumed they were just going to fill out that Jim Lee cover).

Fancy that, Medicom are doing Laura in full yellow and blues. There's just one catch...

..it's the Bearbrick line, not the Mafex one, ba-dum.

I'll get me coat.

Wait......a "comic" version Gambit? What version was their previous release?

That one was called 'Gambit (Comic Ver.)', it's TOTALLY different, comrade - the new one has a whopping 4 letters more!

On HLJ the title is worded as "comic variant version" with this description:

A variant version of Medicom's comic-based "MAFEX" action figure of Gambit is on the way! This figure features a darker rust-colored fabric coat, as well as blue trim on his outfit and blue lower-leg armor.

Maybe it's colored closer to the way his outfit was in his first appearance from the comic cover below? I'm not entirely sure yet what the source is because the pants aren't colored the same as the cover below, but the color of the coat looks the same or similar.
