MAFEX Marvel Figures

Kaiju Daddy talked to the employees at the Tokyo Medicom store this week and they said AoA Wolverine and Cyclops, Mile Morales, and Knightmare Joker should all be available later this month, but that integrated suit Tom Holland is pushed off until October.

He also reiterated that the Andrew Garfield Spidey that just released last week is a banger that's selling out fast so if you want one now's the time because he's likely to be gone by next week. He currently thinks Garfield is the best Mafex figure released this year with the figure's only flaw is that the Garfield likeness is only average and not spot-on.

Also it sounds like Nate grey is being pushed back until November which really sucks. He was supposed to release in July and he’s already been pushed back by four months.

AmiAmi didn’t send out any communications and appears to just be holding my August order. Not sure how I feel about that.

At this point I'm fine with Rogue getting bumped since I may hold out on shipping until I know how much the tariff tax will be.

I suppose, unfortunately, the de minimis exception will never be reinstated even if TACO, so every Japanese import will be quite a bit more, unless they find a workaround that China seems to have done (none of my Aliexpress purchases have made it to me OK)

It's so weird to me the way some figures get delayed a quarter/half a year while others experience only the most minimal of delays. Like the AoA boys dropping this month but Rogue is *still* not ready? And Jubilee for that matter.

Anyway, the good news is I finally secured a black Knightfall Bats, really looking forward to him. He'll go nicely with Tim for that maximum mid 90s vibe.

Agreed, it is strange. I don't know if soft goods (especially with Rogue) is what causes the delay, or not. Or maybe if they miss a slot at the factory, they need to reschedule 6 months later. Part of frustration might be that each month it gets pushed forward a month, instead of them just saying "this is six months late" at the jump. That is, if they know. I feel like the month to month nudge is just a default thing... at a certain point it just auto rolls over, without them actually reassessing the timeline and announcing a new date.

Actually, that's a good shout. The SHF Yoda and ANH Obi-Wan were both delayed due to cloth goods factory shenanigans, and someone did suggest the test shot Rogue on display might have had staining caused by the jacket...

I'm thankful Mafex is taking their time to make this the greatest Rogue action figure ever made.

I mean it’s not like they’re still working on her, the figure is done. It’s just that there aren’t enough container ships at the ports to accommodate any of the orders

Many other figures have been shipped to the US during many of the Rogue delays. My guess is they're not done making thousands of her yet due to some issue with that tiny pleather jacket. Have they done one of those on another figure before?

I was mostly goofing on Mafex, but in my perfect world, Mafex would release a statement saying they scrapped the soft goods.
