MAFEX DC Figures

I got a payment request from AmiAmi for the Snyder Flash. With all my preorders from them, I select DHL as the shipping service because it’s fast and reliable. It typically takes 3 days from when it actually ships in Japan to me getting in New York.

Because Trump is an idiot and started this tariff nonsense, AmiAmi no longer offers DHL for the US and removed it as the shipper for my preorder as I selected it more than a year ago.

I had to select another service. I selected the quickest, which was EMS and takes up to 3 weeks according to the listing. It costs more money than DHL did. Has anyone used EMS before with AmiAmi or a similar retailer? What was the experience?

Also, I must note how much I hate Trump. Only time I can remember a politician has done things that immediately and directly affected me in a way that’s solely attributable to them. The tariff stuff has affected me many ways, not just with this shipping stuff.

I've had EMS from China before for Joy Toy and some other third-party figures through Amazon.

In my experience the 3 weeks is a big overstatement and sometimes it can come within 2 days, sometimes it takes a little longer but I've never had it take 3 weeks.

Although I will note, I am in Canada, so I don't know how it might hand off for you.
 
I had to ship a package from them recently. I went with the Air Small Packet (Registered). Says it'll take 2-4 weeks, rather than EMS' 1-3, and it turned out $15 less. If I can't ship DHL, I'll just save a little money and wait a bit longer for the package I guess.
 
I had to ship Superboy EMS a few weeks ago from HLJ, and it took about 2 weeks to reach me in MD.

That's because Trump isn't a politician. He is many, many things - none of them good - but one thing he is not is a politician.


When they shipped Superboy, I also had to switch from DHL to a new one so I picked EMS. It took 6 business days to get to Washington State, if that helps.

He is absolutely a politician by definition. He literally holds the highest political office in a world super power and has spent the last decade actively campaigning for that office. He also is one of history’s most effective liars, a key trait of a politician.

People pretending he’s not a politician just because he says and does outrageous things most successful politicians wouldn’t is the reason we’re in this mess.

I wasn't defending him. I was pointing out that he is such an evil fuck because he is not, in fact, a real politician. This isn't the thread to go further on it, though.
 
I pulled the trigger and shipped the Superboy in my POL. I looked at the rest of my stuff in my POL, the stuff that has been estimated to ship this month for the past 6 months, and said, "Forget you guys". I want this Superboy in hand!
 
That's been me with some Hiya Godzilla stuff. Aaaaaany day now...
 
I hope MAFEX does figures from new Superman movie. It sucks that the only options are McFarlane and Spin Master.
