Longbox Heroes 1/12 Scale

A 1/12 E-Man would be fantastic, as would a Nova and ROG-3000 (2000?). There are so many great characters owned by their creators going back to the '70s.

When I talked to them at SDCC, they said a Grendel Prime would be coming if the first Grendel goes well.

Fingers crossed, this line could be exactly what Legendary Heroes was intended to be.

I like Tick just fine, but if we got 100 Savage Dragon characters I could still find more to wishlist.

Savage Dragon is probably the only comic I've read that's managed to etch SO many characters with minimal appearances (if only one) deep into my brain, even when I've only read ~130 issues. Makes me feel kinda crazy given everyone in my age range kinda shits on it for some of the more over the top moments and commentary that trend every now and then (which I admit are a bit much)... All while propping up Invincible, which to me was kinda just the same thing but with a stronger reading experience but really forgettable characters and stories.

I'd be happy with even just a few variants of each of Dragon, then Kurr, Mister Glum, and some of the more notable characters... but I could see them putting out two or three Savage Dragon characters per year and I'd be comfortable with that.

I would love all of Frreak Force, Overlord, Vanguard, and any number of other characters from those early issues.

I just noticed on the bbts description for The Tick figure that it is from the comic, not the animated series. Given the name of the line and the other characters shown, I'm embarrassed I didn't realize that The Tick is the comic version not from the animated series. I should have realized a line based on comics would include the comic version of The Tick.

Have they said anywhere that they would do characters from the animated series? If not, that would be disappointing because some of the characters I want most are only in the animated show, like American Maid and Die Fledermaus. I would still be happy if they only make the 3 characters already revealed plus Arthur. Those 4 characters would be an adequate representation for me, though I would prefer to get MANY more, particularly characters from the animated series.

I always loved the Tick Villain The Fin.

"Hey boss; how come you made a fish magnet? Why didn't you make something useful; like a money magnet"

"Fool; money doesn't put fish on the table; fish puts fish on the table"

I’ve just been assuming everything is on the table for The Tick. Start with a comic version (which is probably Ben Edlund’s preference) and draw from the cartoon if there’s demand. I think the cartoon is quite a bit more popular, though both are pretty niche at this point.

I've no direct knowledge, but it's possible that different companies own the property rights to the cartoon characters vs the comic characters.

I could be wrong, but I think Edlund has retained the rights to all the iterations of The Tick. I vaguely remember some interview back in the day of him stating this, but I may be misremembering (and that was likely when the animated series was running...so it may not apply to the subsequent live-action iterations)/

If he doesn't, then it's Disney that at least partly owns the characters tied to the cartoon and I doubt anyone wants to go to them for approvals. Hopefully that's not the case.

Ahhh....the mention of Shocker brings back some memories. The threads where pretty much everyone (myself included) would slam conman Geoff Beckett and his ridiculous excuses for why people weren't receiving their preorders...there was some truly funny stuff! Wonder what con he's moved on to since everyone in the toy community is wise to him? He's probably working in the Trump administration somewhere.
I still have Scud who I love. In fact, my table has everything I need to build his vending machine. Posting a pic to be sure I get off my ass (or on it in this case) to get it done.

I'm fairly confident that any and all characters developed for the cartoon are the property of Saban. Characters that appeared in the books first are Edlunds, characters that appeared in the cartoon are owned by Saban.

Its the reason the live action had Bat Manuel instead of Die Fledermaus and Captain Liberty instead of American Maid. So it is likely that chatacters from the cartoon are off the table for this figure series as I doubt FMF is doing a licensing deal with Saban .

I’m pretty sure Disney acquired all of that stuff over 20 years ago. They’re the owns that own the cartoon.
