Longbox Heroes 1/12 Scale

Tuxedo Grendel seems a bit odd right out the gate. I know Loose Collector is coming out with theirs soon but I still think the classic suit would have been better.
I'm ok with it, though I do hope the long coat is swappable for a standard tuxedo coat. Since they're giving us so many crooks int he longbox and NPC line, it'll be nice to be able to present him as the king of crime.

He'll also look good if you threw him in a lineup of suited baddies from other lines. Kingpin, Tombstone, Fixit, Hammerhead, and such.

Yeah... those took me by surprise in the booth yesterday... they make sense but they look SO good. Chairface Chippendale looks fantastic and that Madman will be great.

The FMF guys are super cool to talk to. They hinted at some more great things to come as well.

Savage Dragon could be it's own line for years and years based on characters, but probably not on interest.

I could think of maybe 20 characters I'd be happy to buy as figures, but I'd be vaguely content with Dragon (one with tanktop, another with uniform), Paul, Malcolm, and Kurr. Maybe in some bizarre future where it gets an animated adaptation, we can get a full line!

Thirty minutes ago I was almost certain to pass on the Tick figure (despite being a big fan of the comic), but one Chairface later and I'm all-in.

Madman was another one of my few non-mainstream comics as a young man, so I'll be giving him a good think as well.

Now if they did a 6" Scud, the disposable assassin, that'd be a trifecta for me.

Wait, and E-Man. Quad-fecta? Those four are about as far as I strayed from Marvel and DC back in the day, so they kind of get lumped together in my head.

The bizarre future of 1990s USA Network?

I wonder if the original release date was overly conservative and it's tracking sooner, or they prioritized this one because of the SDCC connection (even though it still arrives no where near SDCC). It does seem like it could harm sales of the standard version if this one lands first since it's basically the same figure, but I guess we'll see. It would be great to get our hands on a Tick sooner than expected.

Just found out about The Tick figure. A Legends comparable Tick has been something I've wanted for years.

Will these be decent quality plastic and everything? I like the articulation it seems to have... everything pinless...

Made by the same company making the Operation Monster Force figures, so the quality should not be a problem.

It's NOT going to be like that old Shocker Toys Tick figure (who I still have in a plastic display case).

Ahhh....the mention of Shocker brings back some memories. The threads where pretty much everyone (myself included) would slam conman Geoff Beckett and his ridiculous excuses for why people weren't receiving their preorders...there was some truly funny stuff! Wonder what con he's moved on to since everyone in the toy community is wise to him? He's probably working in the Trump administration somewhere.
