JOYTOY 1/18 Scale TMNT

But what I'm saying is that was supposedly already the case for China, since May, and LT Cave.seems to have either found a way around it or eaten it. Or sent everything over in bulk so that it exceeded $800 and paid the regular tariff rate instead. Does Cool Toys send to a warehouse in the US and then to you or do they send every order out individually from China would be the question here.

Every purchase from CoolToysClub for me has come from Shanghai and took around 12 days to arrive once shipped

I don't know. 🥺

I had to get a replacement wrist peg for Casey, and ordered Krang because they said it would be better to include it in a larger package, and while they were super helpful, their English isn't the best.

Which is not a complaint, they got the right part (per their photo), it's coming with Krang (so they said), and Krang actually shipped sooner after placing the order than Casey did, so our communication, broken as it was, still seemed to work out for the best.

And I'm ashamed at only knowing one language, she at least knew enough English to communicate with me, so she's a better/smarter person than I.

I was going through my LT Cave orders for these because it's been starting to feel like a pretty big gap between reveals. What I see is that the first few orders were always within two months of each other, so they came out pretty quick. But the longest gap was between the last two waves, which was around (but not quite) four months. My last order was June 5, so if we don't see anything in October it'll be the longest yet. The other interesting thing I realized was that this whole line is barely a year old. My first order for the Turtles was end of June 2024.

Yup, they've really pumped them out. I think I got the turtles around Thanksgiving last year after preordering in June as well. TMNT has always been much bigger in the US than other parts of the world, I wonder if the tariff situation has given them pause? Even though JoyToy doesn't have a license to distribute in North America, I bet they're still getting a large chunk of sales from that market. I feel like we're already in the "gravy" era of the line after just a year so if it stopped I wouldn't be that sad, but I'd like it to continue.

I'd keep trying to catch up, but I can't afford to pay more than the $36 shipped I got Krang/Casey for (I was going to start saving up for the bundles, so $63 shipped for Splinter/April, etc.), thanks to Hitler Jr.'s "Super Murican Tariff" program.

I think it's amazing the four Turtles would be $121 shipped, but I can't afford to pay $200+ when all is said & done thanks to our awesome fascist dictator.

Sigh, I wish I'd found this site sooner. 😰

I still can't get over how JoyToy decided to just give all the weapon effect parts to Groundchuck.

He needed another coming out of his kneecap. Also that one blaster effect in the rifle was a -bitch- to remove. Was sure it was going to break.

I could have included the 4th blast effect coming out of the back of his foot, but that might have been excessive.
