This was the biggest aspect of their Toy Fair showings that really hammered home for me that this is likely it.Hatter has sources, mostly in retail.
In the past he's called things correctly.
Specifically, he says he has two sources in retail that tell him JT is done, and that if you read between the lines, it's probably everybody not Mattel. The argument being that Mattel doesn't need the money the way Playmates did and can afford just to sit on it and do whatever they want.
I don't really know how the licensing ever worked if that's true or not.
Regarding NECA, he speculates, as much as we all did, that's why their other toy fair showings like DuckTales are a strong hint they're also out.
...don't you put that evil on me...If Mattel puts the kibosh on the Lingjihun TMNT line and I never get the Bebop/RockSteady/Baxter/Slash/Splinter/Shredder/Foot Soldier they've already shown I will never buy another piece of Mattel's refuse-quality plastic again. Full stop!
