JOYTOY 1/18 Scale TMNT

Excellent, LT Cave shipped my Krang/Tokka/Slash wave. Fingers crossed for no customs shenanigans now...

My Krang has moved onto the Clearance Agency stage. For anyone who doesn't import much, this is basically the "Hold onto your butts," part of the process.

I'm in "customs declaration complete" and have a last-mile tracking number...

Krang arrived today with no surprises. Nice to have that out of the way. He's a big boy though and stands around 6 5/8" so he towers over the turtles. I think that makes him almost 10' tall if you think of this as true 1:18 scale, but he is about twice the size of Shredder so I guess that checks out. I don't think I've ever had a figure before that has double ball peg hips. And to make it weirder, the pegs are metal. It's sort of like how Bandai does shoulders with a ball peg in the body to let the arm move up and down. It basically has the same effect as drop-down hips, but looks more natural. This big boy can almost do a full Van Dam to the front and back. Really smooth joints, though the double-jointed knees are a bit ugly if you make full use of them. Only real eyesore to me though are the feet which look like they were supposed to be painted like the hands, but maybe they cut that paint app since the image on the box has them unpainted. Definitely a fun figure that I'm looking forward to messing around with.

Awesome, thanks for the update. Can't wait to get mine, and can't wait to see what they've got coming next.

To update the ether: my States-side tracking number is in motion. Matter of time now, guess this one's gonna work out. Bring on the Casey/Triceraton wave!

Just ordered Krang and Slash from Kowkis Toys.

I think that will fully complete the line for me. After seeing pics of the 2 of them, I had to have them, despite feeling like I was good with having the brothers, Shredder and Bebop and Rocksteady.

I'm sure I missed something here - but how are you guys getting these? Everywhere I look it says they don't ship to US/Canada. Will only specific stores ignore the 'no no' zones?

I have been using Cool Toys Club they ship quickly and have cheapest prices. Just got Krang in today he is great!

DJC Collectibles gets Joy Toy. So does Toy Snowman.

I think DJC is out of the TMNT, though. Occasionally they even pop up on the Amazon Canada for less than retail

I've also ordered direct from Joy toy in the past.

LT Cave also ships these to the US. Johnny Nostalgia recommended Kowkis (kowkistoy.com), but when I used his link there was an annoying pop-up window that I couldn't make go away so I didn't use them. I did just give in and order Slash and Tokka from LT Cave because I've just enjoyed this Krang so much. Joy Toy won't fulfill orders placed on their website for North America, which sucks because they have them at about 30 bucks a piece (no idea what they would have charged for shipping though). I've also ordered from Cool Toys Club with no issues.

Neither carry the Turtles stuff, though, right? That's what's confusing me. They're not supposed to be sold in North America but it seems like some stores still do/can and some don't get them or have them and won't ship to Canada/US.

The stores I usually use for my other JoyToy stuff won't ship the Turtles stuff here, specifically. I'll have to look at the ones others have mentioned.

I've gotten all of mine from LT Cave so far.

I think it's just JoyToy won't sell these to North American customers and distributors. If a non-North American store wants to sell them to North American customers then that's their business. BBTS tried stocking Bebop and Rocksteady and had to take them down. I wonder if that got JoyToy in some hot water with Viacom? I don't know if BBTS ever ended up fulfilling those orders or not. After they took down the listings, I reached out about my order and they said they had to delist them, but were still expecting product. I got sick of waiting though and cancelled that order. Nerdzoic was soliciting these as well and I don't know how he was getting them. Possible he goes through a middleman not based in North America.

DJC did. I bought April and Rocksteady through him. It appears he just recently sold out, because I see they're not even listed now, but he has carried them in the recent past.

And now that we are conversing about it, I never saw a listing for Krang, but again he does tend to just remove things once they're not available so I don't know if it ever was there or it's just sold out.

Maybe shoot him a message? He's been very open and flexible with me about acquiring things in the past.
