Jada Toys Scooby Doo

Yeah, I don't hate Scrappy like most, but I don't really have any affinity toward him. I kinda just feel nothing when looking at him. I get why people hate him- the whole charm of the show is Scooby and Shaggy's cowardice. Fred, Daphne, and Velma are all brave enough; we don't need anything else on top of that before it starts to take away from the "threat" of the monsters. They're supposed to be scary- to audiences and in-universe characters, that's the whole point!

Would I buy a figure of him? Yeah, probably. I love the franchise enough and would wanna support the line. But I'd either need him to come as a pack-in with another character (maybe a 2-pack with Scooby Dum or something) or with a bunch of really fun accessories.

And not that I ever think they'll get far enough along to do the live action movies, but a Luna Ghost and Evil Masked Figure would be right up my alley.

I think I remember when Scrappy was introduced. I would've been, like, 8 years old, but I do remember at some point specifically hating his bugle call/Puppy Power thing, and that he just unapologetically walked around upright. Not even pretending to be a dog. That bugged my little brain quite a bit.

Scrappy is just young and naive. He's little, and he doesn't know any better, and he's ready to dog walk those ghosts' asses, even though he almost certainly can't. He's a precious little pup that thinks he's big shit, just as puppies and even kittens do. It's cute and relatable.

They should make Scrappy grown up where he now knows better and he too is cowardly, and he goes

"Buh-da da duh-da da, Go f*** yourself!" And then he takes off running.

Maybe on Netflix.

To be clear: I would *absolutely* buy a Scrappy figure and definitely want them to make him. When it’s a franchise I truly love, there’s something strangely fun about hate-playing with figures of characters I dislike.

Like bruh the things I’ve done to Jar Jar Binks.

Oh and go ahead and make all the insinuations you want: yes he went there, yes it was with the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and yes they are living happily on my shelf now and raising small-batch designer krill for rich Deep Ones who want appetizers for their ritual party nights.
