I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of those ones with hidden articulation. From the promo shots, we can at least see that his legs can get him into a sitting pose, and there's that shot of him holding his hands in front of his face, which feels like a shot they're including just to show his range. So while it doesn't seem like he has the double joints like the Sea Creature, he at least doesn't look like he'll be a statue. But at the same time, that is sort of the design of the character itself- it's a big ol' metal spacesuit. I wanna say that however long ago, when they showed off Charlie in wave 3, they said they didn't wanna add unnecessary articulation to the characters who wouldn't need it (like Charlie and Space Kook), but they'd try to find a happy medium of accuracy and poseability, which I can totally respect.
 
Same here! Every day, before I even started Kindergarten, I'd watch Scooby Doo reruns at 11 while I had lunch, then play outside for a bit, and come in around 3 to watch BTAS. When I did start school, my Kindergarten was split into morning and afternoon classes, and I was in the afternoon one. For some reason my brain remembers it as me picking that one so I could still watch my cartoons, but I'm sure that, even if I did have the option, my parents wouldn't have let me pick based solely on that logic. It was a happy coincidence though, so I'd watch Scooby at 11 before going to school, and because I was reading at a higher level than the rest of the class, I got to leave a little early each day, which got me home before BTAS aired. We lived on the other side of this little lake from the school, and it was the 90's, so I could just go to and from school by myself.

I remember getting to 1st Grade and having to be there for most of the day and being devastated at missing Scooby and Batman. Even though I'd probably seen all the episodes a couple times by then. And that's my villain origin story.

It was freshman fall football season for me when BTAS first aired, and my dumb ass was still set on playing ball to be like my dad, so I had to jet home after practice and hope the VCR didn’t fuck up the recording.

Literally crouched on the line of scrimmage, in full gear, ready to do some hard hitting, but all I have on my mind is “OHHHH SHIT THE PREVIEW HAD THE FUCKING SCARECROW FUCKING *SCARECROW* OHHHH SHIT”.
 
Not to get off the subject but BTAS I was already married. My daughters would watch that and I would go by their room and see what was happening. Then my wife would wonder where I was and call for me. If she called I knew it was time to do something for her.
 
I don't even know what my first introduction to Batman was, solely because of how hardcore of a Batman fan my dad was. My earliest Batman adaptations were the original season 1 DVD of Challenge of the Super Friends, and a DVD of Scooby-Doo Meets Batman. Also Justice League Unlimited and BTAS, and some VHS tapes of their related movies. But I likely knew before then, from the moment I had a fully functioning brain. Whether that be from my dad taking me to comic shops, me seeing his comic and toys collection, or even his Batman themed steering wheel cover.

So let's just say my first Batman was my dad's first Batman, which maaaay have been Batman #249, back when it was still on news stands.
 
Good point about Batman- I used to love that episode of Scooby. Kinda makes me want to track down the Superfriends Batman and Robin McFarlane did and see if they'll scale well with the Jada Scooby toys.
 
I've loved Scooby my entire life. I have hundreds of Scooby Doo Plush/stuffed animals, on top of all my Scooby toys and figures. I was born in 82, so Scooby Doo Where Are You and the earlier series were all re-runs at that point. But I loved them all. And I always loved Scrappy, because I feel that Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo as well as the New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show, were on the most when I was a kid.

So, I never got all the Scrappy Doo hate. I love the little bastard.

Loving Batman, I always loved when he was on too.

But still to this day, my favorite iteration of Scooby Doo is A Pup Named Scooby Doo. If someone made toys of that, I would faint, recover, and buy them all.
 
I recently bought the cartoon "movies" season Blu-Ray and finished watching the set. I was surprised how funny Shaggy and Scooby were written (apart from the Mama Cass episode where Shag kept making the fat jokes to the point they made him an almost mean character) compared to the later, much less funny seasons. But, man, did they pad these hour-long episodes with a lot of walking. It definitely whet my appetite to watch the Harlem Globetrotters cartoon again.
 
To add to the Scrappy conversation…
I’m 29, so quite a big younger than most in this thread, I’m assuming. I grew up watching reruns of all of the old shows, and while Scrappy was never my favorite character, I didn’t exactly hate him. He had his moments, and I liked him well enough as a kid.

However, I get the hate. I really do.
Honestly, the way to do Scrappy in this line is to throw him into an accessory pack with other stuff like Scooby in the flower pot from the opening, maybe the Daemon Ritus from the live action film. Tons of potential stuff.
Because I’m not 100% sure I’d buy Scrappy as a $30 figure.

Speaking of the Daemon Ritus, how about we get a Mr. Bean figure from the movie? Kids love evil Mr. Bean that’s actually Scrappy in disguise.
 
As a 1978 baby, I think I was the direct demographic for Scrappy Doo?

Oh man how I loathed him as a child. He was one of my first brushes with that kind of arrogant, puffed-up character that I despise. Like I *understood* that they were trying to balance Shag and Scoob’s comical hyperbolized cowardliness with a character who was comically overly brave, but it landed like a bag of wet shit with me. Hating Scrappy is like a core early memory for me.
