Warner Brothers doesn't make the licensees, presumably at least, make shitty figures. I guess you could say Warner sucks at choosing a licensee? Like, do they actively seek out the shittiest action figures they can find and go 'I want THESE guys to make the most sub-standard Sub-Zero money can buy?' Fucking probably, actually. Fuckin' Hasbro.
 
I'm looking at how Modern WB handles their licensing and partnerships and own product.

Movies.
Games.
Cartoons.
Toys.

So to answer your rant, Yes.
 
I feel like MK could definitely be a more fun line of figures than SF. There’s just so much potential for cool accessories and variants.

Honestly I think Storm collectibles was on the right track in a lot of ways, but then it just died for various reasons.

Argggh, I want a different Guile since I only got Player 1 and never saw Player 2, bug I already have two M.Bisons and really don't need a third.

No, that sounds cool as shit. I'd totally do that if I could spare the money and space to have a dedicated SF shelf.
I saw TONS of p2 Guiles for a long time. I wish I'd known you needed one.

I like the P1/P2 because I REALLY know I'm not going after much beyond SF2 - I never played the later games so while I might pick up a random figure here and there that I know from pop culture, the Jada lineup really is just flat out PERFECT for me. And as a kid I almost always picked the Player 2 colors (just got P2 Blanka and blue Blanka is my BOY, y'know?) So it makes me happy as shit to be like "okay this week we've got P2 Ryu facing off with P2 Dhalsim (gray Dhalsim was ALSO my boy when I played... apparently I had a thing for the skins that made them look even less human).

I haven't worked too hard to find P2 Guile because honestly, he's kind low down on my favorites list and I even think his Jada figure isn't quite as amazing as the rest of the gang, but like you pointed out, I've got this funny hole in the collection where a second version of him should be, breaks my symmetry. (Honestly looking at that two-pack I dig his red look more than I like the P2 from Target so if they were selling him solo I'd totally get this one instead.) I was holding out for maybe a beige version of him or something down the line but aside from Ryu/Ken/Chun-Li they seem to be happy just doing one reprint. (Never found the red Target Chun-Li either but that doesn't bug me at all cos I have her in blue and pink.)

I'm not all in on Alpha but Cammy would absolutely join the Sagat I've got sitting in my POL as a pickup. I think Cammy is the Wolverine / Ben Kenobi / Snake Eyes of Street Fighter for me, I'm always going to get a new one.
