Heroic Signatures

Mine will be here Tuesday. I will open it and look it over for quality control issues, and spend the night playing with eh articulation scheme and pushing it to see what it can do without forcing anything. I will report back Friday to torture you with anticipation.

Mine was delivered. I just need to go home to check it out.

I'll report back Friday. Mwah hah hah

Won't have time to crack it open til tonight, but mine just showed up as well. How our options went from Zero Conans to multiple in a few short years is bizarre to me.

Well, the rights holder decided to be more aggressive with licensing it.

I think the Frazetta Museum and Frazetta Girls have become more aggressive too.

I got mine today.

As always, before I get to the cons, the pros...

Pros:

-Great sculpt. I love this more than the Frazetta, I think. I do NOT love it as much as the Mezco, but it is a great sculpt.
-I got the deluxe version, so a shit ton of accessories. Pretty great.
-The articulation should not work this well. It looks like it has the same set up as the Frazetta, but it's just ao much smoother. He can do two handed poses.

The Cons:

-The one and only con. And for me, it's a big con. The QC issues are in the paint. They painted the joints. The figure is painted rather than cast in the flesh tone. There is SO much flaking going in while moving this guy around. There is paint missing on one of the holding hands, so of course I can see the plastic underneath. I hope you can paint, because if this guy takes a shelf tumble, you're going to be fixing this guy up.

Yeah, you can see gooped up paint in his elbows even right in the box. My two pet peeves these days are painting the joints carelessly and painting on skin tone when you could cast it in flesh tone. I think going forward that's going to be a big deciding factor if I buy a figure regardless of manufacturer.
