Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

Edit: I only read the last two posts, wrote the below and then scrolled back a way and saw this is a common desire amongst others Kinda nice to see.

Danger Room strikes me as a restrictive thing to try and realise in an official product because it’s essentially able to be anything programmed into the holograms… The one relatively consistent thing is that there’s an observation/control deck and that the walls and floors are lined with panels that look relatively homogenous when in neutral. Rather than a made to order product I’d see it make more sense to do something similar to the Select figures that had pack in panels and traps, but do it much more imaginatively considering that Legends collectors have much more characters to play around with than Select ever covered. Perhaps something like the following would work:

- A made to order Observation/Control Deck

- A series of 8 deluxe battle damaged X-men, each packed in with a trap piece or gadget that all have a common plug and connect feature…. 2 waves of 4, similar to the MTG deluxe offerings

- A pack of 6 generic floor/wall tiles, that connect together and the 8 traps can be socketed in amongst these tiles

…. And the tile sets can be an evergreen in stock item in pulse inviting collectors to go wild and build as big a Danger Room as they like utilising the modular option to create whatever layout they want, whatever they can fit into the collection spaces they have at home.

I really like the idea that every collector’s Danger Room would be both unique to their display but also something they could reformat and expand over time, a fun way of executing the “programmable hologram” concept.

My big MTO wants are Mangog, and other unique Asgardians if that’s the way we have to justify getting them made.

Besides those, a bathtub Fantasti-Car, Serpent Society and Imperial Guard team box sets, or Mad Thinker & Awesome Android or Red Ghost & the Super-Apes sets.

I’d love to see a Wakanda throne room but I don’t think we have enough comic based black panther figures to make that work. We need to fill in the menagerie a bit more.

I noted this somewhere else but since you guys are mentioning the Danger Room it's worth noting that Dwight recently said in a con interview that they were already working on one. He said they were on pause trying to add more "toyetic" features to it but that they hoped to get it done at some point but that it wasn't currently in the release pipeline.
Mmm, well that is both exciting and a bit of a bummer. Although, if the goal is to give it more toyetic features at least they're thinking of it in terms I'd hopefully approve of. Fingers crossed they figure it out.
I also really like whatever that other one was in the new era.. the E-Wing?
Oh yeah, I dug the E-Wing as well.
Another option: Iron Man Armory.

Disney Toy Box did a great job but it's Haslab-priced now. So come on, Hasbro - you keep giving Iron Man unique sculpts, now give us somewhere to put all of them.
They definitely could give us an option there, or find a way to rerelease the old one. I managed to get one for not *too* much... I mean it was too much, but not TOO too much, if you follow. There are a fair number of 3rd party options there too, though all the ones I've seen require you to buy armor bays one at a time and that gets just as expensive.
intimate swords
This is how I'll be describing knives from now on.

I'm gonna' need more than 6 wall/floor tiles as I want the typical 2 story (at least) Danger Room with Observation Booth, along with some to make a general War Room / Corridors / Hangar / Comms Room / Lower Level Prison Cells to House the 90s Captive Sabretooth I'll be pestering Hasbro for from now until Doomsday (not the film).

Is Asteroid M really too much to ask for?

If they did a MTO Iceman that was more or less the Iceman equivalent of Hot Wheels track that could be connected to make an overarching LONG stretch of ice slide, and throw in some ice struts with crystals jutting up out of the ground, and a swappable depowered 90s Bobby Drake suit that the hands and head could be swapped with the iced up version I'd be all over it.

Death by a thousand Iceman purchases isn't cutting the mustard as far as getting me the one I truly want!

Oh I intend that we’d all be getting multiple sets, but a six pack of tiles would make a basic pack so that you can form a cube that opens and can be a corner display base.

A 90’s captive sabretooth in his restraints is a deluxe I very much want too, ideally perfectly adapted from Madureira artwork.

I'd be on board for a lime green bodysuit Emma as well. Heck I'd probably go for techno-looking X-Men dopplegangers too.

The irony is those things sat on discount on the Toy Box site for awhile. I think most folks didn't know they existed.

This is another thing they could keep very simple - just the pods, let them connect and stack, sell in packs of 4.

Agree with these as priorities. Warriors Three make total sense as as a MTO. Based on pent-up interest, I believe that would do well. Follow up with classic comic Balder, Heimdall and Karnilla the Norn Queen as a MTO. I'd also throw in the Rangers (classic Red Wolf and Lobo, Texas Twister, Shooting Star and Firebird) as a priority MTO since they just did Phantom Rider.

I definitely had no idea they existed until years later. Though they are perfectly (and clearly intentionally) scaled for ML, they were part of an entirely different and much more kid focused toy line. Unless you were actively online in ML groups I don't know how an average casual ML fan would have found them.
