Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

Wonder which Sentinel has better articulation? They mostly look similar based upon Dan's review, but I know the Haslab can do full side splits whereas this one can only get about 60 to 70 degrees to each side. Which is plenty, but I'm still curious about how they specifically differ.

The interchangable blast effects look great on both figures. That was a major selling point for me because I was always disappointed that the Haslab didn't have those, and WOW, they knocked those blasts out of the park. VERY happy with how they look and can't wait to get them in hand. 🤩

Oh, I guess the new Sentinel's had and neck have a lot more range. The Haslab's head has no functional neck and can mostly just rotate, but the 97 has an actual neck with a ball at the top and bottom and can look up, down, and tilt about 20 degrees. That's about all I ever saw the comic version moving so it looks perfect.

This MTO Sentinel makes me really glad I never spent all that money on the HasLab.

It does the opposite for me. All militaries have old and new models or different functionally purposed similar units of military hardware mixed together in service, and any Sentinel program would be the same. Different styles of Sentinel looks great as Dan showed in his review. I particularly enjoyed his example of using the Haslab as a Master Mold and the 97 figures as the army.

I ordered two but I want more now that I've seen it.

Yeah, I don't mean that the HasLab is a bad figure or anything. But I don't have room for a bunch of different models of Sentinel. Nor do I really want them all. I debated with myself for days about the HasLab because I really wanted a nice Sentinel for the display, but I don't love the hyper-detailed versions (HasLab and the original BAF), but I also didn't want to miss out on ever getting to have a big Sentinel.

So I'm glad that just waiting paid off and now I'm getting the Sentinel I really wanted the whole time. But I definitely look forward to seeing all the photos from people with massive collections of different models of Sentinel. I actually especially liked the way the video game Sentinels looked with the '97 one.

I'm a sucker for Sentinels. I buy them all. I pre-ordered 2 of these MTO X-Men '97 Sentinels and am looking forward to having them in hand. I didn't go as crazy here as I did when I bought four of the HasLab Sentinels back in 2020. I have a weird affection for these things.

I somewhat wish I'd grabbed two of these lads, because they would look great flanking my Haslab, but I just went for one and I think I'll enjoy the heck out of him. I think the last Sentinel I really need them to make is the MvC one (thought I wouldn't turn down a rerelease of the Primes as builders or a suit version of Bastion). Looking forward t this guy hitting my doorstep.

I've always used the Tri-Sentinel head on the Haslab because it can move up and down a little bit and isn't undersized like the regular two heads. Never liked the proportions of the Haslab so excited to shift that one elsewhere.

I'm fine with them looking different. These to me look more like the traditional version. The Haslab was more of the modern comics look. Plus he's larger and typically in the comics and cartoons, the larger ones there tend to be fewer of. So it makes sense for there to be multiple of the smaller models in my display.
