Harvinger Studios, Savage Crucible

I really like some Casting Cave heads, but man... and I am NOT saying they're not reasonably priced... I cannot justify paying more than the figure for a variant head.

I went to go grab the two-hander off eBay and it's 100 Canadian, with sold listings. Goodbye.

I also got rejected from the Savage Crucible Facebook group for trading and selling because I was not a member of the non-selling Savage Crucible group. Quite Mythic. Such Legions.

I've gotten a number of heads from Casting Cave over the years, including some great heads for Figuarts/Black Series Han Solo, but I don't like that comic Conan head. He looks like one of the Baldknobbers. If CC does a better one though I'll be all over it. (The one he has for Mythic Legions is better.)

I want a Skull for Naraka to complete my Skeletorization, but the proportions and scale means Mythic is not an option.

I think they said it was just based on where the figure was in the production schedule and what basically wasn't completed yet when they switched over. So they could do the knees in POK, but doing the arms, for instance, would require tossing what they'd made and starting over. Something like that, if I'm remembering correctly.
The knees were completed and Rob Post paid out of his pocket, not the production budget, to have them redone. I don't know why, but that's what I believe he said on a live stream.

Thin is Storm, wide is Mourn.
Technically, Stormbringer and Mournblade are twin swords, and Moorcock decribes them as looking identical. Both of the swords the Elric figure comes with are based on art that has been done for Stormbringer, though the thinner one is definitely the more iconic. If I'm ever able to get an Elric, the thinner sword will be Stormbringer, and the thicker one will be Mournblade.

I left something carted on their site:

You didn’t miss it.

You paused.

Your Savage Crucible items are still in your cart - waiting for a decision.

No reminders after this.

Collect and Conquer

Chat GPT really wants me to buy it I guess.

I had something similar happen with McFarlane's online store. I tried to buy the founders Savage Dragon THREE FREAKING TIMES using PayPal and THEIR SITE wasn't recognizing the completed purchase, so it kept taking me right back to the cart (thankfully I was never charged/deducted the money from PayPal).
I left the page and got 2 email reminders that something was in my cart.I tried, but you wouldn't let me.......

Apparently, Harvinger is bringing Elric stock to JoeFest.

That prompted this exchange:
Commenter: Waitaminute….you have more Elrics?! But you said you sold out. Could you possibly find some to put on the website? It would be a lot cooler if ya did…

Harvinger: please refer to our Crucible Codex: Sold Out post that we posted on June 15 for more information.

Commenter: ….ok…these games aren’t as fun to play anymore…

Harvinger: no games here. We are being as transparent as possible with our plans, terminology, and explanations of how our distribution works.
As transparent as possible, you say?

To be fair, toy collectors can be obsessive and very annoying on social media. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying, “Look, we warned you we were only making so many of these.” But we (not Harvinger, but those of us on this forum) are well aware there will always be some collector who wasn’t paying attention and is just finding out about this thing that they immediately NEED to own and consider themselves entitled to.

There is definitely something to be said for having a professional PR team - or at least one staff member with some level of customer service experience - responsible for interacting with the public outside of livestreams etc. Fans may get annoyed with Hasbro’s corporate ways, but at least the designers and presenters have a partition between them and the fans that prevents either side from actively antagonizing the other (too much…)

If I were SC, I’d hire one of those videogame online community relations folks to handle this stuff.

100%
But that's not what they're doing. They're referring customers to shit-heel posts they've made with obtuse language that is -clearly- confusing a lot of people. I'd have NO problem with Harvinger, in this regard, if they actually did what you just said and just SAID things. With normal words that all of their customers can understand without a degree in Creative Writing for Douchebags.

Right, hence my suggestion that they hire someone with PR experience.
