Harvinger Studios, Savage Crucible

The more I look at Warrior, the more I want to get him...and find a third party Conan head to just make him into the Cimmerian. Do I NEED another Conan? No, not at all. I have the old ToyBiz one hanging out with my Marvel Legends, the first Mezco one on display elsewhere, the first Super 7 one in a tub somewhere, and I have the Heroic Signatures on preorder, so I SHOULD be good...but damn if this figure doesn't just scream BY CROM! THIS IS CONAN!

Damn, Elric is looking sharp with Warduke & Veteris there!
Yep, I was pretty happy with the way he looks with the Neca DnD stuff. I just wish Warduke had Elric's articulation! I wasn't sure about the cape, be he looks pretty striking with it on. I think cape on, unhelmeted is gonna be the way I display him. Still undecided on if I'm gonna leave the second sword strapped to his back or not.

Oh yeah, I feel like this entire line fits right in with the DnD Neca stuff, and I display a few on the same shelf too (Warduke & goblin thief dude currently, had to move Strongheart and the dwarf due to space). I dont think Neca will ever have the articulation and plastic quality that Savage Crucible has, but they certainly do look nice.

I was really noticing the cape in your pics, and I could see myself keeping it on too. The red interior helps show the black armor that would normally be obscured in any kind of shadow I think. Cant wait till mine shows up!

So, thinking about my incoming Elric and I feel like he's going to need someone on the shelf to fight. Should I go with another SC figure? Nashorn looks pretty good as a baddy. I'm also considering that upcoming Metytoys gladiator dude. Both seem like they'd fit Elric's pulpy world.

When I don't know a character really well, I always enjoy trying to find stylistic matches. I think this random McFarlane DC guy could work as a nice nemesis for him.

I think it's really about what kind of thing you're going for on the shelf and what you're willing to spend. The thing with Nashorn is that him v. Elric is a lot of dark colors. You're mostly relying on the bronze elements of Nashorn to have any pop or contrast. If you're looking for something fairly easily 'evil-coded' is to grab a brightly colored lizardman. I think you can still find that albino-looking one. Which would be hilarios - albino vs. albino.

I'm really looking forward to putting Elric on the shelf vs. the Ball-and-Chain Warrior, myself. Love the contrast of the dark armored guy versus the brighter/skin tones unarmored guy. Which is also a strong recommendation for Who-Man, I guess.

It's Kevin Nashorn.

Diesel, baby.

This was sort of the vibe I was thinking with the Mety Gladiator. Pricier, but I like the less armored look with the specific head options that guy gets. Only thing that worries me on that one is relative height. Elric looks pretty tall in all the reviews. Maybe I'd do Ball and Chain with one of the upgrade packs... hmm.
