On the other hand, I've run against eBay and PayPal wanting you to record the whole packing process to protect "yourself". Spoiler, they didn't give a fuck.
I swear every day I hear something on these boards that make me think I'm just going to put figures I don't want into storage and let people sell them off when I'm dead so I don't have to deal with other people.

I've seen that crystal throne going around, it's not quite how I pictured the ruby throne though. I dunno. I feel like at some point im just going to need to make my own.

I've seen someone do it translucent like Jello. Might be a different model.

About recording an unboxing, most of my issues from various figures are stuck joints. Can I feign that on camera then run a blow dryer over the joint and pretend I still can't move it, if I were dishonest? "Errrr, I can't move this knee no matter how hard I strain!"
Sideshow used to ask you to destroy the statue or figure and take a photos. Not sure if that's current policy. Never had an issue requiring another figure.
I had a Sideshow figure once that had a problem and I had to prove it was 100% destroyed before they sent me a replacement. It was ridiculous because it was something small that could have been handle with a simple replace piece versus an entirely new figure.

I tried to do the video thing for InArt and stopped probably a minute or two in. It was ridiculously tedious and sucked the fun out of opening it. Granted I was stuck holding the phone in one hand and trying to inspect the figure with the other while keeping it all in frame.

Well, given the polar bears they've had displayed at shows, and the fact that Rob in one livestream mentioned that the Silver Warrior would be a Frazetta and Moorcock licensed figure, I'm assuming that Urlik Skarsol/Erekose/John Daker is one of the two. I think the other one will either be Corum (with a soft goods red robe) or Dorian Hawkmoon, maybe Jerry Cornelius if they want to throw a curveball.
When did they say that about Silver Warrior. Frankie Frazetta told me that they were having trouble doing that and it hadn't been fully worked out. That was months ago, so I missed the news.

I got my throne's design off Cults3D - it was designed specifically for this figure - and a friend printed it for me.
Yeah, it's all the different crystal formations I'm not into. Imagine it more as a single big rock chunk of ruby with the chair carved into it. Like, imagine a ruby bolder that's been hacked into. That kind of vibe.

I also think to get the look into like I'd need to cast it in resin.

I feel like a company that demands you make an unboxing video JUST IN CASE the toy is broken is a company that doesn't deserve anyone's business.
The impression I got from listening to Rob, because I actually did listen to that entire part even though I skipped most of the video, is that a part of the InArt policy is because of bootlegs. InArt packages their figures with security tape in specific ways, and they want to see you cutting all that tape off and taking out the figure to prove that you bought a legitimate InArt figure, completely new and sealed. Rather than, say, an InArt box with a decent bootleg inside, or something.

All of this came up in response to Rob being asked if he worries about bootlegs, and him explaining that SC isn't a big enough line for anyone to want to bootleg his stuff at the moment, and that it's a bigger problem for larger Asian manufacturers like InArt, or bigger properties like TMNT.

They mentioned last night that the Dwarf has not been at the last few shows for a reason.

Make of that what you will.
Odd. I'd be a bit surprised if they were cancelling him for "woke" reasons or whatever. Maybe they're just redesigning him.

Scorpios Rex is currently up for pre-order at Entertainment Earth. I've waffled back & forth so many times on this one, without pulling the trigger. But I think I've finally settled on skipping him & living with the regret later. Seeing that he just has a cut joint at the base of his head is a real bummer, in addition to losing the glass eyes.
Dude, thank you so much! I got my order in and found this Slayer Cadillac Ambulance (!!!) to add for free shipping, which I am now way more excited about than the dinosaur. 😂

Oh man, than brings back crazy memories of having to smash up expensive premium format figures and sending them pics for proof. I would put them in a bag and take em to the pavement. It felt so good and bad at the same time lol

Thanks for siting through these painful livestreams and reporting the info @Dek - I actually clicked the link on this, but bailed out as soon as I saw the 2+ hour time frame. ☠️

Was it ever suggested they were cancelling him? Yeah, pretty sure the dwarf figure is just at a stage in development now where they want to surprise everyone. 'Look, it's finished and even cooler!' or something.

At any point, have they alluded to a female body?
They talked about it directly in the vidcast. It's still in development. They made a whole thing about how they feel the need to try to get it perfect, because action figure people are way more critical of female figures than male figures, and everyone has a different idea of what a female is supposed to look like. Typical 'dumb boys are fucking gooners and we don't want to hear any bullshit.'
