Ghostbusters General Thread

People have Winston and Sandman; solo Egon JUST hit my PoL. I'm very patient with this line, but I'm sure that once Ray is in hands, I'm gonna be itchin. I won't wait to have all four to open though. I've already opened Venkman, just to see what Mondo's quality was like.
 
That's really awesome, getting at least three of the GBs together before Christmas. For as long as we had to wait for things to get going, it's coming together pretty nicely.
 
Yeah it really does feel like once the first one came out they had a really steady clip. Hopefully they can keep this pace across all lines.
 
I feel fortunate that I don't need Louis Tully or the Gundle that's being shown around by Mondo. Slimer wearing a proton pack is cute, but not $150 cute. I'm ambivalent on Janine even now, since most of the poses I'll be doing will be the 4 Busters in action, and then Janine is just sitting off to the side at her desk? I don't plan on having all my Ghostbusting scenes occur in her immediate office space, so I'm likely to just go with Janine herself, if at all. Overall really all I wanted was Peter, Egon, Winston and Ray, and if Samhain didn't even make the cut I don't know how much else I even need from this line beyond more expressive head sculpts and hands.

I'm still in for everything. Louis I could take or leave, but I very much want everything else he comes with, and it'll be nice to have him anyways.
 
I hit ship on a giant PoL that included RGB Egon, it left MN on Friday, and arrived today. Fastest Pile in my life. I think I hit ship last Wed or Thu.

Egon is solid, like Peter. Mine had a stuck neck barbell that I had to use heat to budge. I’ve got him using the PKE meter rather than throwing a neutron stream like Peter. I’ve got them both atop the NECA Party Wagon for lack of space. I like that chubby blue ghost he comes with, which I believe was in the opening credits. The one accessory I don’t recognize is the large grenade looking thing with a button that slides out but doesn’t hold that position and falls back into the device.

Again with the vacant package. I still haven’t tossed Peter’s package. Once I have Winston and Ray, I’ll probably still waffle on it. They just take up an obscene amount of room considering what they carried. But man, I cannot wait till this group is complete. They’re already gorgeous halfway through.

I cut down the depth of Egon's inner plastic casing and managed to get both Peter and Egon into Egon's box and tossed Peter's because it had a pretty extensive gouge in it from shipping. I plan to do the same with Winston and Ray.

Michaels also has acid-free scrap book cases that are 1 foot by 1 foot and stack. I use it for characters like Archangel or anyone else I'm worried about getting mis-shapen from being bagged and put in a tote. So far they've worked well, and I think you could get all 4 busters into one along with Janine if you wanted. They're usually about $5.
 
My POL also showed up today, and I promptly opened up the GBs and Penguin.

The packages are nice, but I took everything out and flattened the cardboard, and both of them went right out into the recycling bin for trash day tomorrow.

Egon's left gloved hand doesn't seem to stay on mine too securely, but I;m not sure if I got the glove cuff on far enough.

I'm trying to figure out where to hand the traps, if that's possible. There's the left side of the pack, but it doesn't look like it's designed for the trap.

Norm, I noticed Egon's neck as well, so it's good to hear a little heat resolved it.

I hang the trap on the left side of the proton pack, top hook. Fits right into the similarly shaped hole in the bottom of the trap. I hang the pedal and cord on the lower hook. I’ve got it this way on both Egon and Peter. Not sure if I’ll have Winston or Ray activating a trap yet.
 
I don't hang the traps. I don't trust that wire being coiled and recoiled over and over before something falls off of either end.
