Ghostbusters General Thread

While I plan to cut down on a lot of my collecting given the price increases, occassionally there are items you know you just have to have, like the Haslab Ecto 1. Having it on display, I love the lights and sounds. Having actual Plasma Series scale slime blowers to put on actual GB2 suited figures is something I never thought I'd get. The librarian ghost is cool, Slimer is a much needed addition, and Louis Tully is so nice to add to the collection. I'm tempted to toss the box because I know this is one of those purchases I'll never be selling off.

My POL also showed up today, and I promptly opened up the GBs and Penguin.

The packages are nice, but I took everything out and flattened the cardboard, and both of them went right out into the recycling bin for trash day tomorrow.

Egon's left gloved hand doesn't seem to stay on mine too securely, but I;m not sure if I got the glove cuff on far enough.

I'm trying to figure out where to hand the traps, if that's possible. There's the left side of the pack, but it doesn't look like it's designed for the trap.

Norm, I noticed Egon's neck as well, so it's good to hear a little heat resolved it.
They're designed to hang off the side with the cord wrapped around the bottom hook. Just don't stress the cord by the connection to the trap at the point of contact. For the pedal, I first wrap it around a pen or something similar and then transfer it over.

I forget...you're not in the US, correct?

If you are, first of all, my apologies...

Secondly, how did it ship? I've got something in the USPS Informed Delivery, and I haven't the foggiest what it could be.

This is single packed Winston I'm assuming?

I don't trust the wire on the ghost traps at all, it looks nice now, but I try not to pose them much at all, as the coating on the wire feels like fondant cake frosting/coating and I already assume it's got only so many bends in it before it starts cracking or deteriorating.

Got an email today from Pulse that the 84 Proton Pack (MTO) is delayed until May 4th (instead of March). Kind of glad I have a little more time to wait to pay for it. Just hope they don't release a bunch of stuff around it that I may have to pay for as well.

Winston arrived. I pulled him out of the box just to make sure everything looked fine. He needs to warm up before I start posing him, but being that he's the third release there isn't much new here. He's a straight repaint of Peter with a new head. The neck joint is still overly tight so he doesn't really look up and down. Hips seem just as tight as the others too. I thought he came with more stuff, but I guess it's all in the deluxe version. Winston has the same spread as Venkman just with Rosebud instead of Slimer and a trap effect with Sandman instead of Samhain.

Ok, so one thing I've noticed by having Winston standing on my desk and staring at me all day is that his neutral portrait appears to have his eyeballs angled up. It's not a terrible thing, but a bit of an odd choice for the neutral expression. I checked the listing on Mondo's site and it appears to be more head-on. Curious if this is unique to mine or if they're all like this.
