Got Egon just in time for the holiday. He’s…okay. I think the factory forgot to hit him with some shock oil because his hips and the ball in the neck were really tight. I had to heat the neck to get that ball peg to move at all. The hips I’ll probably try to lubricate tomorrow. His trap isn’t fitting on the hook as well as Peter’s which is odd. It contributes to a slightly less premium feel with Egon which is a shame considering the price point. I do think Brewer nailed it with both sculpts and the PK meter turned out great. His jumpsuit is definitely a little off though. I watched a few episodes today and the only time it appears to even be close to this vibrant is in the opening title. Once the episodes start his suit becomes more of a blue-gray. Personally, I really like this shade of blue, but objectively it’s not correct.
Also, anyone able to get the ghost bomb to open? Based on solicitation images, it looks like the center piece should be able to rise out of it, but damned if I know how you’re supposed to pull that off. Mondo is doing a stream tonight for Over the Garden Wall, but maybe they’ll demonstrate it if someone asks.
