General Toy Nostalgia

Nice.

I do have some of my OG childhood figures remaining in my possession.

Super Powers Batman, Robin, Superman, Joker and the Batmobile

The Kenner Batman Returns Batmobile bat missile version

Kenner Batman & Robin and Batman Forever Batmobiles (pretty sure I still have both of these, I haven't cracked that bin open yet since moving into the house from storage)

My plan is to put each vintage Batmobile on a shelf with the McFarlane version, with a Batman on the shelf with them, and have the Super Powers figures and car on a shelf with my carded Mattel SP deco/carded Batman and Superman DCUC figures.

All other vintage toys will be represented in another display by more current, updated figures.

I have MULTIPLE Optimus Prime and Megatrons figures so that will get it's own shelf.

That's the plan anyway, WHEN I can source the money for all these cabinets I'm going to need.

Pretty much the only original stuff from my childhood that I have is Joe ARAH figures and vehicles. However none are my childhood copies, but pickups as an adult.

Everything else "original" from my childhood is either reissues like my G1 Transformers, TMNT figures or "close enough" updates like MOTU Origins. After that it is all updated lines (ML, SW, Thundercats, etc.)

Pocket Power randomly popped up in my head. I'm pretty sure I had the helocopter, maybe a car as well. I didn't realize they where made by Sega.

And for the toy detectives: I am trying to find the name of a toy car line, not sure if it was under Hotwheels, Matchbox, etc. The one I had was an off road truck of some kind, that if you squeezed the back, it would split open down the middle and a car in the same deco would shoot out. Essentially the truck part was a shell over the car. Thats been nagging me for years.

I thought this was interesting, apparently there's a market for 1980s Hacky Sacks. Here's two I still have (I also have a more modern one). The red one is my first. I wouldn't sell it, but it looks like I might be able to get $60-$80 from eBay on the right day, even in that condition. I remember asking my mother to buy me that one while we were in Kmart. She said no at first, then I countered with a suggestion to buy it for Easter which was like a week away. It worked!
The faded one on the right with all the printing worn away was once florescent pink and yellow because it was 80s baby.

If I went outside right now to Hacky Sack, I doubt I would be in any condition for work tomorrow.

Here's one I remember from waaay back in the ancient past when I was a wee silverback; Commander Power!
Christmas morning '77 or maybe '78 brought the good Commander, Shield, and Gor -king of the Terrons- into my life. They all had a light-up action feature that I thought was the coolest thing evah!! Despite my still having a few well-worn Micronauts from the same time period, unfortunately Commander Power and the boys have been long-since lost to time.

*EDIT-
Well, I just did yet another search looking for more information on these and not only determined they were actually "Super Joes", but that I also got LUMIINOS! I was wondering why I remembered Shield having a light-up head. Haha.

I'm obviously having one hell of a nostalgic morning here at the zoo.

I had some of those guys. I didn't know about the Joe connection until I was an adult collector. I can't remember who bought them for me or when I got them, I just remember having them.

I remember the guy in the black suit and the one with green skin.
