General Marvel Legends

Lifeguard and Slipstream are SO far down the list - like I'm talking after Petra and Sway and all of the X-Academy/New X-Men kids and Micromax and the like... but still, eventually I would want them

Fuckin' A right she would be.
Yukio should have been in the Wolverine 5-pack a few years ago, or released last year in the Wolverine 50th line-up. They have that MCU Katy body right there, though it needs better feet so it can stand.

Lifeguard reminds me of a character I created because I thought the X-Men needed a blonde - Emma was still Gen X-ing at this time.

Found this custom on Reddit - clean work!

I suspect Yukio isn't made because its a boring figure because she's just a lady in a black leather suit.

And Katy? That figure could work for Mariko maybe, but never Yukio... Yukio has never worn a kimono or dress in any appearance as far as I know.

I was just, like, an hour ago looking at Classified Akiko from the Snake Eyes movie thinking "who could this be other than the character she actually is?" And maybe she'd work as Mariko in a pinch?

I'm such a massive X-anything fan and Lifeguard and Slipstream were never even on my radar, like at all. Completely didn't even exist in my brain and didn't realize it til just now.

Whoops, my bad. I don't think I've ever even heard of Yukio, outside of a character I do not remember from a Wolverine movie and then I didn't make the connection to the Deadpool version.

I was thinking Mariko.

It boils down to I Didn't Want It, which is fair, but these days everyone thinks they're the main character.
This often crosses my mind regarding influencers. By and large, they don't visit places like this. The great thing about forums is how they're democratized. (You'll remember that Magik failed to crack last year's Marvel Legends Top 10 despite my considerable efforts.)

With influencers, everything is filtered upward. Either conversations with their own fans or conversations with other influencers. It's Yes-Men all the way down. It's the ultimate echo chamber.

I could go on a 6,000-word rant about how algorithmic social media has done this to all of us, but nobody—including me—wants that.
