Damn you're good!
Who is this? I’m not familiar with modern characters or designs

I understand the urge, but the X-Men's space adventures were always my least favorite. I can justify her as a one-off for my X-Men villains shelf. I'm always looking to add another villainess.I'm really on the fence about it, because it's X-Men stuff, and I'm a sucker, but also I stayed strong and didn't get Lilandra or Warlord Charles and if I get this then I gotta go back and get those... she does look rad AF though.
Seriously. I get that Smasher is too niche to anchor a two-pack with Deathbird, but surely we could've done better than Gladiator. How many releases has he had now? Four? Five? He's gotta be the most overrepresented character in Marvel Legends relative to their popularity. Enchantress and Brother Voodoo are the only competition I can think of.So Deathbird will be picked up as well (along with Storm and probably Mystique), wish they had packed someone else with her instead of another Gladiator.
Is Gladiator any more recognizable to the casual fan than Smasher, Raza Longknife, Hepzibah, or Titan? Imagine how much more exciting this set would've been with one of those characters. Or, if you need an X-Man, why not release the Target exclusive Outback Storm with Deathbird?
I'm a big fan of Hasbro's stewardship of the line, but sometimes they leave me scratching my head.
Those Byrne covers are basically this summer's Barbenheimer.
More or less. On some pages it's very yellow, on others it's got a slight reddish hue. Also, was Matt blonde in this story?
At the very least to me it feels weird to have Deathbird without her sister. We'll see where I land on it. I do need to make another cull of my collection soon to make sure it doesn't grow too far past my ability to house it.I understand the urge, but the X-Men's space adventures were always my least favorite. It doesn't change your point, but I think this is the third release for Gladiator. The Thanos Imperative SDCC set and the Apocalypse BAF wave are the other two.Seriously.
