General Marvel Legends

I think the brown one was the one I paired with the GSXM box set, and the yellow one went with my Jim Lee team, which consisted of Monster Armor Cyclops, Secret Weapons Beast, MvC Gambit and Rogue, Light Up Weapon Psylocke (not sure of the actual name of the subline).
MvC/Light-Up Gambit (same sculpt, different colors) was SUCH a good figure, too. For the time. A 1000% improvement over the original ToyBiz Gambit. That and the Juggernaut from the Light-Up series. So so good.

Water Wars also gave us a fantastic Storm.

Then after a quick Google I realize it’s Sorbo Hercules. Looking at those figures, were most of them just Marvel figures with new heads?
Like Ace said - that is how it started. I forget which Marvel figure they used for Hercules. I know the Iolas figure was also used for the Kull line of figures, and as PC said was originally Angel. Good times.

In a roundabout way, we’ve come full circle on the topic, because looking at pictures, I’m almost positive that Hercules shares a body with the ToyBiz Akuma/Ryu from the Xmen vs SF line. I’m pretty sure they’ve got the same action feature. But I forget who the body originally was for. Namor maybe? Because I think Ken used that Archangel body you mentioned.

I had that Gambit and Juggernaut. I remember asking for Gambit for either a birthday or Christmas and telling my parents that there was two Gambit figures. One with a crappy thin jacket and one with a better jacket and a light up feature. They got me the right one.

I don't think it was Akuma. Hercules didn't have the punchy action feature thing, and his chest was wider/deeper. Can't find a good picture of the first Herc that will actually load, but here's the second one that was on the same body.

Hercules definitely looks like Toybiz Gladiator.

I was JUST coming back here to say that. Herc is definitely Gladiator but with a new right arm without the action feature, I think. Mystery solved.

Ah, that’s a different one than whichever one I was looking at.

There used to be a great website that catalogued every TB 5” figure and line and did a pretty great job of cross referencing whichever figures shared parts, but it’s been out of commission for a handful of years now.

I remember the cool Minotaur that was mostly Sabretooth and the wild Ares that was like Warstar I think?

Yeah, I remember that site. MarvelToys.net or something? Super cool and really well laid-out. Now the best we have is probably the FigureRealm checklists.

And yeah, I remember that Hercules now. It was the archery one. I never got that one because I thought it looked ass and even as a kid I hated both archery and action features.

I just hope the Pedro Pascal headsculpt revealed tomorrow is way better than anything they've done so far for Mandalorian releases.
Yeah, I can't think of too many situations where the same company has made multiple actor likenesses across franchises.

And I don't know how other companies work, but since we do have two entirely different art teams at play, I'm really curious to compare those portraits. Have been ever since the casting.

Fantastic Four is my favorite thing outside of X-Men so I will definitely have to grab a wave.

Torch looks great but I've always been a sucker for the character in figure form. Super anxious to see the rest of them revealed and in pictures together and I will definitely be picking up a set despite my no more MCU mandate that I already recently broke with Electro and now Lizard.
Ugh. I have the same MCU mandate and sold off all my MCU figures because it was just too much and I love comic figures more. That being said the reissued Endgame Cap has been taunting me as I have regretted getting rid of MCU Cap as he is my favorite character. FF has always been my favorite team and I'm afraid these will tip me over. Sigh. Stupid plastic crack addiction.

It is an easy mandate to break because of all the extra budget that seems to be allocated for the unique sculpts. That Electro I got for $21 I know people complained about the original price but honestly with his power effects on he has enough shelf presence to justify the original price. I can't stop looking at him.

You get rid of that mask effect being permanent, it's a candidate for one of the Top Legends of the year for me. Its a very cool and unique body. The tubing is cool and different. I just hate effects that can't be removed - I'm a figure photographer dammit I'll add it in post! :)

Can't remember the last stream I was this excited/nervous for, and I hate to say that it's for a figure we've got a million times already. I hope the new Tiger Stripe Wolverine is perfection, but I'm also nervous that it will be because I hate buying multiple 2-packs for just one figure.

Happy to be proven wrong with the FF stuff! (Me? Letting my anxiety get the better of me and assuming something?! Never! 🤪 ) Bit of a bummer that all he comes with are extra hands for the price point, but I've undoubtedly got some extra flame effects I can throw on him, as well as a flight stand. Since I'm sure Silver Surfer won't include any sort of flight stand, are there any decent options out there that would accommodate her and the board? Or at least the board?

Doesn't matter too much, but it would be cool if some of those flame effects are removable.

Joshsqush.... you're seeing FF stuff today. It's an Enforcer Guarantee :)

Walmart cancelled my Spider-Man '77 Preorder due to insufficient stock. Not world ending since it was an impulse purchase, but makes me curse exclusives.
